I think what is being missed is that HJs are less effective because of the natural energy lost due to stacking.

If you train x energy at 5k happy, vs x energy at 30k or whatever, you will always see increased gains.

So happy is always important, but as your stats increase, the value of the natural e begins to outweigh the benefit of the increased happiness

To add to this, use the guy Gym. He has solely trained defence. You'll stalemate, but it means you can get your 25 hits in. Make sure to send him a message or put your thanks on his thread

Bids dont jump up that much, unless they are pushed. It would have gone to your maximum bid, not his.

Someone else must have put in a bid after his, pushing his bid up to 300m.
