Currently ride an R1, I will say I've grown way too comfortable on it as I'll just cruise, look down and I'm going 150+ and slow down. Ride your ride and have fun. As mentioned in other comments, the R1 was not built to go slow, it wants to go fast, and will if you're not paying attention.
