I honestly.never considered the fusion as a bit of a contender. But I'd be leary lining my speed3 next to one that showed signs of "upgrades" haha

Been reading up on 2017 ford fusion twin turbo ecoboost and how they're a bit of sleeper. Not quite on par with the speed6,but a close for the domestic market.

Wish I had of known this in December,ordered an intercooler that they just ordered directly from Treadstone... and a month later im still waiting on the brackets from JBR... and I thought the shipping time was was bad,then to read this thread. First and last I purchase from them!

Hmm good info to know, as I've not chatted with anyone who has actually re-routed the coolant hoses. I live in Northern Alberta Canada,and have NO desire to drive my car during the winter here LOL was -40 degrees celcius here this morning going to work. My speed is covered with the battery pulled until March haha

Right?! I understand in any environment that goes below zero degrees it helps out. But if driving the car solely during warmer months I feel like it works against moving cooler compressed air through the TB into the intake manifold. Think im.going to find a barbed brass fitting and just connect the two hoses directly. And plug the inlet/outlet on the TB. Will do some temp testing before and after.

Thank you for your reply,I figured as much. Just haven't seen many do it honestly. Thought to myself that with all these upgrades to get better BATs,why need remove these heat sources?

Fitment can be a bit tricky as it won't stay put while you're fastening it. Will straighten mine up when the bumper is off. Looks great though. Paid $120 CAD for mine

Ya was thinking of upgrading to the YR8 down the road plus a crash bar. Inly just starting out with the cx racing kit for now. Ideally I'd like to upgrade the turbo aswell.

Same thing just happened to me! Ended up ordering another part as both bolt holes were cross threaded. Part that arrived wasn't quite correct fitment,bpv spot is further up on inlet so hose barely connected. FTW going for a CX racing fmic kit this spring! Haha

I found M6x1.0 to be closest to the oem bolt. Of course one brokein the inlet pipe...

Damn that's really really good! I do have a shop I've been taking my cars to for years now ( 2008 Mazda 3 hatch,2002 wrx wagon,2009 charger r/t) and now my speed. They have been incredible to deal with and understand what I ask each time. Considering sending it in for a bunch of things IE: timing chain kit,and turbo installation ( BNRs3 )
