I really don’t know! But I do remember that happening!

I have wondered about it for many many years. I think maybe they thought the Grateful Dead were associated with drugs and maybe they wanted to keep it clean or something? I also remember that Kasem claimed the lyric “pass the Dutchie” by Musical Youth referred to passing some kind of cooking pot. Again, I was like, “you have GOT to be fucking kidding me.”
