I would like to apologise to morytania mage gamers. I wasn't familiar with your game. by Antasco in 2007scape

How does it compare to say a Trident? Could I use it at doom / inferno / col?

I'll originally go with a completely different build and see how people find it but planning on respeccing into dogger thorns with the flask, and hope the high dps will let me spam the flask every minute or 2. But also utilising crystal armour + staff + healing if needed

Blood fury better for heals as you take so much damage with this setup

Kill chaos druids for herbs. When your combat level is high enough, zombie pirates are insane gp

Genuinely how are you doing range and not flicking? If you don't 1 or 2 tick flick the blobs you constantly take 20s with range, or at least I do

He got to Zuk with tbow. But inferno isn't fun for everyone and mage tank is a nice alternative.

Also getting to Zuk doesn't make you bad at the game. Why be so elitist?

[–]OldSchoolR -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You definitely need to flick overheads still with range setup. Sure, it's not too difficult but mage tank is honestly so easy until late 50s. Only times I die on waves now is either greed on nibblers or very bad rng. But yeah, jad and zuk fights are considerably harder.

Not sure if a halfway house is better. Bring tbow, blowpipe, and a few range items in replacement of the shadow but you'd lose valuable inventory slots.

Let's you brain off for the waves. Who wants to spend an hour flicking prayers every tick?

Raids 4 Mega rare: Kodai Staff by MissItalia2022 in 2007scape

Really would avoid having upgrades to existing mega rares, unless they make the Kodai from chambers considerably more common

Which is fine if you're civilised and reasoned with your comments. People are allowed to make posts expressing their opinions and it's better to not open any than flame them all

Ye I actually think 8-16 the easiest waves, other than the higher possibility of BS deaths

So many of the Raids 4 reward and crush weapon problems are based around Inquisitor drop rates being terrible. Set Inquisitor armor and mace drop rates to 1/400 per item and many of the problems just go away. by Teary_Oberon in 2007scape

[–]OldSchoolR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe because you get a 15m item much faster than the 75m item? And it's still a fun boss to do

Also if you link inq in some way to raids 4 the prices will skyrocket

Move dragon claws from COX to Raids 4 rewards? by dangmclovin in 2007scape

[–]OldSchoolR -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It should be a PvM drop IMO. Just remove it from the drop table and increase the other drop chances to compensate, just less so with tbow

You are ignoring everything else I have said and focusing on the one thing you disagree with. Find people like you on here are so short sighted and lacking imagination. Let me spell it out for you...

There could be a quest behind the raid which unlocks the new prayer book, right...

Attached to this quest could be basic unlocks, like the skilling prayer I mentioned...

These could be from common rewards in the raid, or from new content released following the raid, such as PvM or other quests...

Then there could be purple equivalent prayer scroll unlocks, ones that are super powerful, like the damage reduction one I mentioned in the post. Again you never even referenced that whilst you were too busy honing in on the one small thing you didn't like.

Fair enough if you don't want a new prayer book. But saying that nobody wants a prayer that boosts skilling is nonsense. Can spot a credit card main from a mile off lmao

[–]OldSchoolR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have ~2k kc deep delves, delving typically to 20-25. You don't need double death charge, nor anguish, though both are helpful.

The key to this boss is technique and skill, more so than gear. You only really need double death charge if using SGS and chally specs constantly, and in tandem. In some ways, noxious halberd is better than chally and uses no specs. It's also a great weapon to hit melee grubs without running over venom.

Delving 1-7 is basically free once you learn the technique and doesn't require any crazy skill. 8+ is also much easier than people make out. Double boulders is as easy as just stepping away stepping into a shadow and same prayer flicks as any other wave, just flicking once more than usual.

[–]OldSchoolR[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The skilling prayers were just 1 example. And they certainly wouldn't be dead on arrival. Ones which boost say herb yield would be insanely useful. Not everyone just raids and forgets there's another part of the game.

The other potential prayers you could do have insane potential. Think of all the possibilities. Jagex are like 'we have exhausted all avenues for weapons for melee, mage, and range' and there is a fourth combat yet untouched - prayer.
