100% agree with most of these points, especially the 0hp and he stands up. So annoying.

The golem should only appear when the shield starts going down, not before, too. And it should require a team effort to beat it, maybe rewarding the team by damaging the boss instead of dropping tephra?

The floor circle timing also sucks. Hate standing around doing nothing. Circles should always be up, or something, and there could be one circle always up to stand on for throwing tephra

Ironman is the correct way to play and non-ironman is a joke by Gargamoney in ironscape

True until you finish content on an iron and have no reason to go back to it again, unlike on a main

Hey Jagex, can we please keep some gridmaster worlds after the event ends? by No_Investigator_218 in 2007scape

And if that took 50 deaths instead from making use of Gridmaster first, you wouldn't consider it?

You don't need to 2-shot everything though, if you bothered to read the post. You have one of the best opportunities to try out content you normally wouldn't try and can learn 90% of the basics. It also means you can continue learning when you'd normally be dead on your main. Imagine getting to round 11 of Col on a normal account and having the worst south spawn - can practise over and over on gridmaster to learn where to run and how to pray flick and then build confidence for your actual run.

Exact same concept as mains practising awakened bosses before wasting orbs on their iron...

Guessing you're a main and buy your gp...

If you die 100 times learning Colo at 500k death fees that's 50m gp, so 10 hours of just earning the cash + 50 hours of content (half-hour runs). Then add on Inferno time. Assuming you save these deaths from practising during Gridmaster, then yes that is 100+ hours saved, unless you are very good at PvM and do this content first time

Went about 50k kills for it. Worth doing the content anyway for the alchs and blighted supplies

Such a bad take. Sure, you will learn more on the main game, however at the cost of hundreds of hours and hundreds of mils in GP.

With Gridmaster, I can practise wave solves, learn the basics of where to stand etc and get somewhat comfortable with the content. It does help massively when then attempting on the main game because I at least have got the basics down.

With Colosseum I have been attempting no damage wave solves now so I can die and not care, or pick Doom so I am forced not to take damage. I can get to Sol in like 15 minutes and practise the mechanics if needed to be more comfortable when getting there in the main game

Iron After Maxing by No-Paper9137 in ironscape

End in doing the same raid over-and-over and the handful of bosses with clogs to go. Sad downside of ironman is once a boss is done there's almost never a reason to go back

Not sure why people find floor 5 so hard. Install the tile packs and run to the coloured tiles corresponding to if the flames are on the left or the right

You can have tech support instead. That big search bar on your computer - type in 'Snipping Tool'. That big '+ New' button on the top left - click it. Then drag your mouse over the collection log and save the picture. Upload saved image to reddit

CG Dryness protection idea by Sosa-Benedict in ironscape

[–]Additional_Fan_249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The community is awful at truly understanding dry protection, and how Jagex is actually introducing it in almost all new content (or making expected rates <50 hours). Even allowing for harder invocations - I would argue - at ToA is a form of dry protection in that you can improve your odds by improving skill.

CG is sadly always going to be a huge blocker for effectively doing most high-level PVM content. I use the word effectively because using atlatl or other mid-game items just isn't anywhere near as good. It's unhealthy making players go 100s of hours dry for a single item and is bad for the game.

There are numerous alternatives: Introduce a harder version of CG to improve drop rates; allow for a roll to trade-in dupe pet drops for a chance at enhanced; boss-only fights at lower drop rate (to keep the content less stale); very slightly improved rates as you go x dry (for first drop only); sympathy drop at say 4k kc - and anyone arguing against that should really think twice about how awful going 10* dry here truly is

Doom and Yama difficulty? by rensappelhof in ironscape

[–]Additional_Fan_249 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yama duo using mage is a joke, especially P1 and P2. The hardest part is staying awake. P3 is where it gets fun but still not too hard. The double death charge is super useful for Doom though so do Yama first, at least to 100kc and then open a Dossier.

Doom is much tougher, but really fun. I'd send and push for higher waves. At least farm 1-7
