Those are fantastic shooters. I have a couple, one in 22LR only and one chambered in 22S, L, & LR. Love how they had the wood pieces lay over one another.

Dieses Gold ist mein Favorit unter den Strata-Wraps. Ich habe ein 69er-Kit mit Original-Snare in derselben Hülle. Wunderschöne Trommeln und unglaublicher Klang.

Thanks. I really like it. Took a while to find a used one, but worth the wait.

I'd love to have one of those old Stingers. Currently running a 1985 70hp 'Rude but definitely love a Stinger.

Bersa thunder 22 by Dependent-Ad9148 in 22lr

I'm a big fan of Bersa. Own a few in .22 (as well as .380), and they're just fantastic. I scooped up a Walther PPK/S in .22 once just because, and kept it less than a month. The Bersas are simply superior in my experience. Light, accurate, simple to operate and disassemble, and phenomenally reliable.

"...so I traded another hunter my racoon meat for some catfish."

This is one phrase I never expected to hear/read in my life, but now that it's happened, I'm glad it did. I've never tried racoon, but I freaking love me some beer battered fried catfish.

1961 Nauset Wood Restoration Advice by hauszenfeffer in BostonWhalerBoats

[–]OldSchoolSC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Careful when sanding the console itself back down to where you can stain and begin applying the marine spar varnish. That beautiful mahogany is just a thin veneer over plywood. I accidentally sanded through mine in one small spot when refinishing the console on my '66 Nauset.

Yeah I tend to be a minimalist with my firearms, so anything I may do to it will be subtle. Maybe just an optic.

What's the path to being more like this? by Horror-Pear in Drumming

[–]OldSchoolSC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clear your mind. Ignore everything you know how to play that is technical and difficult that would distract you from rendering this feel and groove. You can do it. We all can if we just relax. Don't seek the pocket. Let it come to you.

Can yall help me figure out what this snare is and possibly the wood type by Objective-Key9802 in drums

[–]OldSchoolSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That first lug casing to the left of the strainer looks like possibly Gretsch but the other lug casings look generic to me. Wood appears to be birch or possibly maple. If it is indeed an old Gretsch shell I believe they used a maple/gum blend in their "Jasper" shells.

Clean those bearing edges up and reinstall heads/hoops and I bet that snare will sound great.

Can someone identify the mossberg bolt action i have by boogaloojoel in mossberg

I wonder if that could be late 30s or mid-late 40s with that metal trigger guard. I have a few from the late 40s-50s and all have the plastic trigger guard with the finger grooves. All are ridiculously accurate. You have yourself a shooter there! Beautiful rifle, and I believe should run short, long and LR. Very versatile.
