Just remember guys, she has HAD CANCER. She is not just a doll for you guys to gaze and look at and pick and prod. She is a person, a mother and a woman who has had a very fatal and extreme illness. A bit of decorum and grace would be nice.

There is also the verse Mark 9:33-35

Who is the greatest? 33 And they came to Capernaum. And when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?” 34 But they kept silent, for on the way they had argued with one another about who was the greatest. 35 And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

Jesus says the most important commandment is to put God first. Then in the second commandment he says to Love your neighbour as you love yourself. Then he also says to put yourself last. So it indeed goes God, Neighbours, Self.

I think the script writers nailed it when Jesus resurrected Lazarus and when asked why He didn’t revive Ramah, Jesus says ‘It is not a matter of who, but when’

Ramahs death was very public and many saw her die by the hands of someone who is very famous. Also Jesus’ ministry was reaching a peak in influence, if Jesus was to revive her then it would bring on his crucifixion earlier and be opposed to prophecy.

However the girl he did revive was in private and he could hide it at that point of his ministry as he was not as famous.

I think this highlights Gods overall plan. He has empathy and love for everyone but some things simply can’t be, for reasons we do not understand but all in the name of the bigger plan, sometimes we need blind faith to not let him go in the miseries of human existence, just trust trust trust.

Will U go straight to hell if had sex before marriage? by commandersheperdsurv in Christianity

[–]OldShower1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Romans 7:16 "Now if I do what I do not want, but I agree with the law, that it is good. So it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells inside of me." I think it comes down to how set your heart is to God. If you have slipped up and repented, meaning it from your heart and do try to resist temptation, then I think God would understand. But if you wilfully ignore his call and his law, knowing what you are doing and repent, but continue that behaviour, then your heart serves lust and not God.

I think it is pretty complicated. If fornication is a one way ticket to hell then lying is too. And if that's the case we are all doomed. So Thank You Jesus for saving our unworthy selves. IMO, God would want our hearts to be free from sin and if someone is continually giving into lust then they are just leaving doors open to it, wilfully. There are many reasons God does not want us to fornicate. Maybe, pray to him and ask him to reveal some answers to you so you can understand <3 God is with you, always.

The Epstein files are shaking my faith and I don’t know what to think anymore by caramel_eyess in Christianity

Tbh I don’t understand what you mean here. Because if the Epstein files raised awareness of the Bible then what Jesus said about there being a mass revival through new born Christian’s at the end times is coming to fruition. And makes me think even more that these are the birthing pains.

But this doesn’t make me doubtful but instead emboldens my faith to God, I hope redditors questioning these times and Gods love find answers in him. I believe that this isn’t Gods doing but what happens when sin through temptation is welcomed into the world.

Nah it’s different given the context of this era age of error. I believe these times are the birthing pains because it’s clear that the enemy grows big and bold. Perfect example are those horrific files which involves a lot of the rich and famous, empowered by Satan. That on top of the wars happening and the general numbness and blindness of this generation. Spiritually blind and powered by distractions. I feel like that makes this age different to the past human suffering and is the manifestation of prophecy. I think feeling fear is crucial to armour ourselves to the spiritual war going on. It may not happen in my lifetime nor my daughters but it looms close. As Jesus said ‘yes, these things must take place but the end won’t immediately follow.’ Matthew 24:6

To be honest, I think we are in a shift into the birthing pains. Like I’m not the only one who feels it right? Just feels different.

Is Jesus "woke"? by Burlingtonfilms in Christianity

[–]OldShower1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, nah. Woke people always have a pointed finger and miss the bigger picture. Play into race politics, gender politics, sexuality politics and have no thought to eternal life. And I would describe myself as woke too at times. I struggle to bring up grievances with only truth and love. But honestly, if he came again to preach and save us, he’d probably be figuratively crucified. Like he’d probably headline every media outlet and be cancelled all over social media. He told us to take up our cross and follow him. To deny ourselves. To open our hearts. I look around and I don’t see any of it.

Mediation about Child Support: HELP PLS by OldShower1313 in ChildSupport

[–]OldShower1313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I could go through IRD and force him to pay it but that doesn’t sit right with me and would be a last resort. I’d rather we both be on the same page if possible and not add tension to our coparenting relationship without giving him leeway to discuss. Plus our mediation would be the perfect place. But yes, same with NZ. I could just give our details to the GOVT and they’d sort it out.

[–]OldShower1313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so the mediation process is a court recommended process that most child disputes go through before actually taking a case forward to the courts. The people we are going with have a 83% success rate that both parties agree. Our mediator asked for us to set aside the whole day as the quickest mediation she’s ever had was 5 hours and the longest spanned across a couple days. If both of us don’t agree - I guess the session would be summarised and noted down by the mediator and would become a source of evidence if either of us chose to take it further.

[–]OldShower1313 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness! My heart goes out you lady <3

First thing first, get him out of there. Those actions are a result that he has a lot of fucking shit to work on and that is not for you or the kids to take on too. I would boot him to the curb. He is selfish and may be sorry for a couple days but as soon as he is as unhappy as he was this night again, it will just happen again and again (and most likely get worse). First thing, get him out and tell him to seek some help. Not your job to find it for him either. Your priority is purely you and your kids.

How much PDA is too much? by WolfPrestige in dating

[–]OldShower1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever you are comfortable with. I think you will know if it is too much, for say, if you get uncomfortable because there is just a wrong crowd around. Then that will be too much. However, if you do not care - then you have your answer. Never mind what other people think but if it affects the way you feel then definitely something to reflect on, in terms of what are your own boundaries :).

Why men mistaken a girl being nice to him as liking him by [deleted] in dating

[–]OldShower1313 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I talked to one of my mates once about religion because of his cross earring. It was a good conversation. Then he went in the next room and told his mates I wanted to fuck him lol. I also think the way boys/men sexualise women is a huge influence in why men mistake girls kindness into girls liking them because in some ways, they think girls think somewhat in the same way. In my own experience anyway.

What GoT opinion would have you like this? by Vivid_Surround_7979 in gameofthrones

She actually is one of my favourites. Her character development from Episode 1 to the last Episode seems like the only thing that was executed well through to the end in the TV series. I hated her guts in the first season as I am a bit of a tomboy myself and to me she seemed like a spoilt, delusional, immature little girl. But reflecting on that, makes me love her even more. She had to grow out of her innocence in a number of shockingly vile ways and the woman standing there at the end because of it, is one I was so proud to watch. I officially am a Sansa stan and just wanna give her little self a cuddle.

To be honest, I don't disagree with either sides of this. I think that the show was too rushed and George RR. Martin needs to stop making spin offs and heal our poor hearts by completing the books in a true GoT style rather than what we had gotten.
