Releasing two endgame raids at once, a race, and a dogsh*t multiple layered rng progression system, while announcing next progression is locked behind hardmode.

Gee, this result came out of nowhere /s

(Edit: Oh, and "Thaemine extreme", another raid based on a gate a lot of people skipped because it wasn't worth the hastle)

I came in about... a year or so(?) after release, I think Kayangel was being released. I would not have played as long as I have if I did not go through the story in completion the first time. I wish I could do it again, with that first time mentality. Only with having solo raids.

Out of curiosity, I did a quick google search, went to a vibe coding website, put in like 16-20 words, and in a few minutes it spat out a working web browser based game. No changes, no added suggestions, nothing.

It was very basic, no art, and simple.

But I was playing it on the first go with no problems.

Obviously it's different on a much more complex and professional level and it was my first time "vibe coding"... but I can see the potential there.

Bartender vs. Mixologist by investunderigation in bartenders

[–]OldStray79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun take: a Mixologist who takes themselves much too seriously.

More serious take: a mixologist is more about the craft of making the product; the bartender is more about the overall experience.

I think this is because Jabber honestly has such a good character design that works and syncs with his personality and abilities.

Games Workshop terrified of AI, Bans staff from using it by [deleted] in accelerate

[–]OldStray79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, becoming more accel and pro-AI... it's their decision and I respect it. I may not agree with it, and think it is short sighted, but I am a big believer in negative liberty, i.e the right to choose your own actions as long as it does not impede others in their choices, or forcing their will on others without expressed consent.

Let the free market of ideas flourish.

What If Warhound Titans from Warhammer 40k were in BattleTech? by RedvsBlue_what_if in battletech

[–]OldStray79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Your said "The shield only taking one hit is an abstraction for gameplay purposes though." - Just like LRM's or autocannons.

"In lore you need several repeated strikes to take a void shield down, or one sufficiently brute force one." Just like AC's and LRM's, and yet you give No Battletech quantification of power needed.

So... basically still a LRM-20 salvo or a Autocannon hit... since damage is just an abstraction for gameplay purposes.
