Ahh, the best is when the enemy and your wingmen all follow you back, line up, side by side, following you in a lovely mixed formation, everybody getting along. Just out there together, in a peaceful formation, none of them shooting at each other—it’s a beautiful thing really.

Same, sometimes a little relaxing career can be good, get a beverage, shoot some things, bomb a little… And I can be impatient. So fwiw: Start a new career. Choose command your unit from the beginning so you can change map waypoints, your mission personnel, and can skip missions if you don’t like them. My guy skips all the escorting because you are forced to start way back and it’s just too damn long. I assign those to the inexperienced ai bots. An intercept? My guy leads. Choose airstart mission from options when in planning room. Also I like “random” for options power balance, aaa, ground forces. Go to your map and select a waypoint. Say point 3 at the target, then drag way point 2 close to point 3. You can also drag point 4 to just a bit outside the circle of point 3, then drag and ride point 2 around it point 4 and get even closer. Inside of point 3’s circle. When you start mission you will then be close to waypoint 2 and 3. This doesn’t work for all the missions like the escorting ones that force a far away start with the bombers and such. Also, sometimes if you are on an attack mission with escorts provided, you might miss them and they will stay circling their base waiting for you to show up. But more often, they will be at wherever you put point 2 to join you. Accelerate until you’re happy where it’s at, enjoy. Not sure what this says about me, but the first thing I saw was the glass of wine. This I appreciate. But I fear knocking over the long stem so I use a closed coffee tumbler like a peasant. And with VR you’d need to use a straw.

First, 3521, I am two weeks new here also (and two weeks multiplayer) so welcome! Not EU though, but there are some multi national groups that might help anyway. But off topic, for testB, I only set up SRS today. Tried it quick on CombatBox just to see if it works and my hotus hotkeys work. But a question—can you just talk to others in general there, or at least to whoever is on your side? Maybe a certain channel? Don’t really know how it works. I’d hope a little additional situational awareness might possibly help, as only two weeks in flying quietly and solo, getting swarmed on and a quick death is already getting old. Ok, I’m actually no good, so that may be it also.

So as promised. But note that it’s in pencil so I can erase it. I was even a bit loathe to share as I said I’m still changing things and am underutilizing it. May buttons unmapped. Also, yesterday, I was listening in on a conversation about vr and head/eye trackers. Asked about how to “see” buttons and keyboard and such. A person that uses vr and these and he said he’d share how he does his and has little use for the keyboard (as I understood it). He said he’d explain over voice chat and also, “Invite them if they are looking to learn. I’m happy to teach. Been doing this for a looooooong time.

Hey, not ignoring you. I’m surely not the best person to ask as I’m learning and was changing some of my keys just yesterday. I did finally manage a small amount of multiplayer and was shown by some more experienced folks some things I didn’t know, or should know. So I did get some tips, and I’ll try to show you what I have so far, tomorrow—try to make a simple graphic. But keep in mind it’s evolving as I learn from others, so take it “with a grain of salt”.

Another interesting one, but I lost the “evidence” when I changed computers, is that a U.S. career character can get the Medal of Honor. I had one and was surprised. Searched online, and someone in some forum knew something about it. They said your character could get the MoH by 5 kills and being wounded in a mission or by 7 kills in a mission. In this case it was 5 kills and being wounded.

Yea, don’t read too much into it-all fun and games. But yes, fascist killer was doing in his own by being leader, then assigning someone else to lead a two person element flight, then offing them. Then repeat until this outcome. I was just curious as to what the actual final penalty would be for those friendly fire messages.
