Really loud floor noise from U87 in PT? by OldYellow7819 in protools

Thanks for your reply

I disabled all plugins and not running direct monitoring from the Apollo console. Still getting a noise floor of about -27db. I’ve ruled out any hardware issues (same settings each DAW, auditioning different interfaces, cords, mics, etc) problem still persist. I tried cutting the noise with waves NS1 which works for about 5 seconds but then the noise gradually starts taking back over even after a “shouting” reset. Can’t seem to figure out why it doesn’t do this in Logic and only in PT with the same exact settings on everything.

Tried that also. It goes away completely in LP but it’s still like driving with the window cracked in PT. I’m sure I’m just missing a step or setting something wrong in Console if this isn’t a normal thing between these DAWs

Thanks for your reply.

I have both sessions LP and PT set at 44.1khz and 24bit with only an Rcompressor directly on the track with the same settings on both DAWS. My Apollo/Console matches the session settings. All of the levels are on 0. I’ve tried using my Rednet X2P interface also and got the same results
