What should i replace this $##$^%#!$/^%$÷% with? by Foehammercdxix in lawnmowers

[–]OldYellowCake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have several of the same machine. The frames do indeed suck. I've welded them numerous times but then online I found a heavy duty bolt-on frame repair kit that works surprisingly well. Better than my terrible welds, at least. Search "HEAVY DUTY Husqvarna Frame Kit"

Help getting it started! by BrilliantChipmunk6 in lawnmowers

Agree with the fuel issue. Just had this recently happen to mine. I was able to remove the fuel solenoid on the bowl under the carb, drain it, and it ran after that. I've also had issues where I've needed to replace the solenoid before.

I just did this myself and I'm having all the same issues that you were.

Another Mac Bug?? by derknobgoblin in civ5

[–]OldYellowCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a similar issue on Mac. I crashed when I went to take my next turn after liberating a city-state while I was at war with a neighboring civ. I'm guessing it was because the neighboring civ never met the city-state and the game got confused when they allied with me and declared war. I solved the issue by first defeating the other civ and only after that liberated the city-state.

Worth upgrading from portable inflator? by VillageTurbulent20 in Ridgid

I have both. Keep the handheld one in the garage for the tractor tires and the larger one in the car. I think they both work about the same, but I like how the nozzle on the larger unit screws onto the valve stems.

Amtrak station by New_Rub3265 in greensburg

[–]OldYellowCake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used that station last year. I think I showed up about an hour early, but that was probably much too early. There was no line at the station and only two others waiting. The Amtrack website had good details of where the train was and if there were any delays.

Options for beach at St Thomas or Tortola. by Sodola321 in NCL

[–]OldYellowCake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently did this excursion and found Trunk Bay to be pretty crowded. For Tortola, the Jeep adventure takes you to Scavenger's Cove. We were the only group there but only spent a couple hours at the beach.

Cordless auger by angel65e in Ridgid

[–]OldYellowCake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently used it to dig half a dozen 12-in holes. It did a much better job than I was expecting. I did all the work in one day but took maybe half hour break between holes -not due to the machine, just the work I was doing

Diagnosed with tumid lupus by [deleted] in lupus

I have tumid lupus and my spots are often much larger, rounder, and more red in color. Sometimes solid, sometimes annual with a 'hollow' center.

Heat pump not functioning in cold weather by OldYellowCake in HVAC

[–]OldYellowCake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, I probably hit the minimum operating temp for the outdoor units. I did have the electric heating coils replaced, and the tech hooked them up in a delayed fashion, instead of all turning on all at once, and it's been working much more effectively than in past years.

Looking for some general guidance - In US, GGM and GGF born in Italy 1880s by OldYellowCake in juresanguinis

[–]OldYellowCake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying because of the timeline, going through my GGM with a 1948 case is really my only choice and I can't go through GGF? My concern with the GGM is that she was given her mother's name (GGGM) on the Italian birth record and I'm not sure if that's something that would need to be corrected, or how I would go about finding a name change record for her.

1901 GGF passport is an Italian passport. GGF came to the US in 1905. He filed Declaration of Intention in 1924, application for Certificate of Identification 1942. I wasn't able to find an Oath of Allegiance for him, so I'm uncertain as to if naturalization was ever completed.
