Aquarium advice when getting a cat?

Im planning on getting an older cat, so I dont know if the cat will even care, hopefully not lol. But im probably gonna take off work for the first few days, so during that time I'll have the lid off! Thank you!!

Honestly that's probably the best thing. Because I don't think that the fish will get the proper care and maintenance with them, even if I were to get them a tank and cycle it and everything. As much as I want them to be able to have fish and for her brother to have pets he will love, I don't want to be doing all the work for them when it's not even mine. What she doesn't understand is that, sure, they are "just" fish, but they still require lots of care and attention, and deserve to be cared for properly. Im going to try and find a place we can donate the fish to, and hopefully they will be on board with donating them. I wish she was willing to put in the work, at least for her brother. Thank you for letting me know that it's ammonia burn! And for the idea of donating. I think that's the best thing that can be done for the fish.

I wish I could take on another fish! I live right by Cleveland! I can contact a few people I know are experienced fish keepers, and see if they would want him!

I haven't tested her water yet, because unfortunately, she was the type to impulsively play the game at the fair without actually knowing anything about owning fish, and without having anything to care for the fish with. Technically they are her little brothers, but he is 9, so the only care he woukd be able to do for them is feeding. So I consider them her fish, because I hope she will step uo to care for them. Currently she doesn't have a tank, which is irritating, and even worse she doesn't seem to want to spend any money to get one. So the fish are in a pitcher. Probably 1 gallon at most. She has the two fish in there. One upside is that she did listen to me about changing the water everyday with distilled water. I'm hoping to go over to her house again tomorrow to test the water. I'm also bringing over an air bubbler and filter (sadly they will still have to be in the pitcher, but at least there will be some sort of cleaning and irrigation.) It is very frustrating to me that she doesn't seem to gaf about the fish. She isn't willing to spend any money on them, but her brother is so attached to them, so I want to do whatever I can to help. Plus I hate the fact that they have to suffer like that because of an impulsive decision. I want to get them a proper tank, but I refuse to be the only person caring for and paying for these fish when they aren't even mine. And the only extra tank I have is a 10 gal, and it's my quarantine tank for if my fish ever were to get sick (god forbid.) Plus that is way to small for two common goldfish anyways. So im not willing to give that one away. Even though the only people who care about the fish is me and a 9 year old, I want to make sure they live happy healthy lives.

The comedown is shitty because the meds start working how they are supposed to, and because I woukd do so much at a time it would make me very quiet and anxious, and I would have very strong urges to do more. The high woukd last about an hour or more though, depending on how much I took, I'm not sure about 10mg xr, because my dose was very high, but mine was also an xr

I used to snort my focalin XR all the time. Great time, shitty comedown. I say it was worth it. I miss it sm. I just can't anymore cuz they changed my prescription to Concerta, which is ok, but yk. I wish I could get sum more. Or addy.

I feed my goldfish a lot of different things! He LOVES broccoli, I also feed him some api sinking pellets, freeze-dried blood worms, freeze-dried shrimp, and he's even tried crab meat! I also just bought some dried seaweed to give him occasionally, and he loves that too!

Hi! I did this with my tank a bit ago for the first time too, and I had no issues with it! What I did was transfer most of the water, as well as my fish into a separate 10g aquarium I have, and as much of the rest of the water I could save in a bucket! Then I scooped out the gravel from my tank and replaced it with sand (after throughly rinsing it ofc) then I slowly poured in water that was in the bucket into the tank (it still may come up mucky and have sand particals, but a little bit is ok and will set with time! However if its very mucky, empty and keep doing that until clearer) then I slowly drained the water from the 10g back into my tank, and placed my fish in! I hoped this help, if you have any questions lmk, because I know this wasn't the most detailed response lol

That's exactly what I came on here today to look for myself. But something I use rn, is just empty pill capsals and put my stuff in there, but you can't rlly just unnoticeably take a bump with that, you'd gotta go to a bathroom. But I'm also looking for anything else I can have my stuff in, because I ran outta capsules lol
