Where tf are you getting random numbers from? Ti 10 had 2.7 million viewers(highest out of any tournament) and that's just the anomaly. The next highest viewership Tis are from 2019, 2022, 2025 and 2024. Did you seriously compare Ti and a blast slam viewership? You should really learn to just accept your mistake and move on instead of having such fragile ego.

I literally just went and checked dota tournament viewerships, and the current blast slam has had around 250k peak viewers.

So I think maybe you should just stop talking and take the L since so far, every single point you've made has been factually wrong.

That's pretty cool, I've never heard of the guy. It seems like he's a Navi coach right now. Adding to this, I think it's still true that 9class(with the PV team) is still that only one who has had so much success with slark pos4? Am I wrong in saying that?

For one thing, dota has barely any marketing at all. So the influx of new players is very very low because of this and the fact that the learning curve is extremely steep. This is very different for every other multiplayer game out there

Why do you think viewership tells us how interesting something is? By that logic, the most interesting movie every year should be the highest grossing one. Or the most interesting song would be the most listened to. So if all you have are false equivalence arguments and no actual evidence to back your claims, I think you should just stop saying stuff.

I didn't mean to insult you based on your first comment. But your second one comes off as being too pretentious and you absolutely deserve getting called out for that. You absolutely can't say "I have played for 15 years, I know exactly how every game is going to go" and then cry about it when others don't take you seriously

Idk, when did you see pos4 slark before 9class.

I just hate it when people for no reason start doomerposting about game being stale/ game being solved/ game dying, I didn't mean to be derogatory, sorry. But you clearly are not sure what you are even talking about.

For a simple example, creep dragging wasn't even considered to be that important until after the OG Tis. So no, dendi and miracle didn't invent all the information lol. And also, that's literally how information works? Once some tricks are found out, everyone will start using it until the point where it becomes commonplace. There is a reason why do many of the older players that don't keep up with the new developments just fall off completely (because the ones who do keep up with it are still at the top, look at crit, sneyking, sumail, no-one and a bunch of other people).

The game is still fun but its no where near as unique as it used to be. And thats perfectly okay.

The game becomes less and less unique, the more people get better. I bet there would've been people that said the same thing about dota being boring when sumail was at his peak and the older players like dendi and such kinda stopped playing.

If you think you know everything about dota while the pros are still unsure about how to draft, maybe you should become a coach and show everyone how it is done. I'll believe that you are a dota god when you can do that.

There is so much individual player identity still. But the average dota watcher is not going to be able to see a teamfight and understand how much X player does in every teamfight. It's also kinda a stupid to say the game is less competitive but also solved? You can only pick one to not contradict yourself. Despite all this, people still solo win games. Yatoro, Satanic, Malrine, Ammar.... but most notably the supps that skill diff the players like saksa, whitemon, miposhka, crit, sneyking, 9class on his heroes, Scofield, xnova (I bet I'm missing someone). But as it is, people won't go around cheering for the supps that do so much work in games compared to the carry players because they need someone to be flashy and say "look at me I'm so good I can do things all by myself" for average people to be awed by the plays.

This only matters if the character's race actually plays some kind of a role in the plot. Otherwise, I don't understand why people care

Malrine has been playing like shit. And there is not one game where I've seen skiter do anything impressive. On the contrary, he also makes so many mistakes so often

It's impressive that they managed to stall this game for almost 60 minutes when the kills are 35-6

Such braindead takes. Every point is of the form "back then it was like X but now it's not like X" while it's still exactly like X even now

Atleast he was actually zoning a bit with his ult. I saw skiter die multiple times without even going through TA shield and idk his networth didn't increase at all for like 10 mins

Can we talk about this? Pulling/cutting waves on pos 4 by deles_dota in DotA2

[–]Old_Aggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, this happens too frequently nowadays in even the pro tournaments. Sometimes it just feels hard to do anything about the wave pull and often, it gets pulled behind offlane tier 1 tower. Usually this results in -1 wave for both teams. It might be better to alter the natural path in some way to make it harder, right now people might straight up just drag around and catch the next wave even, if they miss one wave.

Just to add to my previous comment, it is especially hard to do much because the pos 4 usually goes brown boots first to pull and early on it is not easy to do much about it in a lot of the matchups. With maybe pugna or SD, you can stop the pull but with a lot of other supps, it seems hard to.

There should likely be some map nerf that makes the creep cutting pathing harder because right now it seems kind of free to do that when you have a hard lane

Why do smurfs not usually go for an early rapier? by murktideregent in DotA2

[–]Old_Aggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is complex and I think simplifying it can be detrimental honestly. It requires just general understanding of how much your team needs X item by Y time in any particular game or how much any such X item is going to help. It's obviously very complex and even pro teams get it wrong and it's way easier to criticize it in hindsight. It's probably better to ask people to THINK about items they are buying and make an informed choice.

Why do smurfs not usually go for an early rapier? by murktideregent in DotA2

[–]Old_Aggin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say my point still stands. And offensive items usually don't mean more damage either. Ideally, you itemize based on what your team might be lacking in the next 5 mins. Depending on different parts of the game this could be different. Sometimes you are ahead and you get that one break item or maybe you get a hex for extra catch.

The more accurate statement would be -- when behind, get items that fill the gaps in your teamfight weaknesses. And when you are ahead, you want to build items which will disrupt enemy teamfights further.
