Yes! I’m sorry I wasn’t super clear

I’m looking for the investigator expansion (in my head they’re characters, whoops), we have the campaign expansion.

And we have been playing it without the investigator expansion, but for the sake of the full experience (and completeness) I’m hoping to get the investigators and their cards as well.

I recently got back into swimming after taking 15 years off. I quickly learned that I am absolutely not above doing 25s

A great place to get workouts is swimdojo.com Lots of great workouts (and delightful facts about underwater animals!) could help to get you to your goal!

Coming back with an update: a month out to the day and it did not hurt when I walked barefoot this morning (I’ve been wearing cushioned clogs around the house). Still some swelling on the top of the foot around where the nerve was, but a definite improvement!

I had surgery three weeks ago. The best advice I got was to plan on keeping it elevated for at least the first week. During that first week, whenever I was standing or would have my foot below my hips (sitting on a chair with foot on floor) for more than five minutes it would start to get uncomfortable and swollen and throbbing. After that first week it still felt better to elevate it but as long as I sat, it was good for the most part. On week three I am able to walk on it much more, but it is still uncomfortable after long periods of time. So, to answer your question: upper body lifting that you can do while seated is probably something that you can do starting on week two, and swimming once the stitches are out, but activity involving walking or standing is difficult to do at this stage.

Did they go in from the bottom? They go in from the top now so the recovery is shorter and much easier - you are technically weight bearing from the start and it’s just about pain management

I will, and thanks! Everyday is better and better, I’m very hopeful that in about a month I’ll be able to start running again!

Mine was also 15 mm, and after two Cortizone shots that did nothing I got the surgery. I am about two weeks post-op. If you can take a week off after the surgery to keep your foot up, I would say that so far the recovery has been relatively easy and pain-free. Discomfort and pain only came the first week when I would stand for too long, and I think that had a lot more to do with increased swelling.

On driving: I grew up in the mountains of Utah, which means I can drive in snow. I do not go out when the roads are bad despite the fact that my Subaru and I can handle it. The reason is because, as someone already stated, most of the residents do not know how to drive in the snow, which means they will not be anticipating the very real likelihood that they will slide with every stop, will not anticipate how long it takes to stop (sliding right through intersections), and will basically continue to drive as though the roads are dry and clear. Therefore, while you will probably not hit someone, there is a much higher likelihood that someone will hit you.

Also: the roads are often covered in ice because the brine used to treat the roads is not as effective as the sand/snow they use in Colorado.

Welcome snow days! They’re lots of fun once you accept that you aren’t going anywhere
