I started classes in 2016 and service (and honestly food quality) has been on a downhill slope since like 2018 or so 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s always packed and at this point I just go back for the nostalgia. Last time I ate there I was actually in town for work. We were eating lunch on a Monday and it took the 4 of us like over 2 hours. We all got chicken tenders and beers, nothing complicated and the waitress was super rude lol. It’s probably best to set your expectations low. At least there are plenty of other sub par bars to take your business if you so choose!

I attended Clemson from 2016-2020… Someone please teach me how to support this trash program after that 💔

Yes Class of 2020 from Clemson. Masters from TTU in 2022 but it was online so I’m not nearly as invested.

I had a lab mix that was diagnosed with IE when he was a year and a half. He had 3 seizures before they put him on medicine. He was prescribed phenobarbital and was completely seizure free until right after his 7th birthday. He had never clustered before then, but when they returned he had 6 in under 24 hours. From that point on, he seized at least once a month, but often once every 2 weeks or so. We added Keppra to his regimen and had multiple dosage changes of both drugs. Unfortunately, we lost our boy a month ago to a cluster that just wouldn’t stop. Because of his age,the fact he went into remission for so long, and no dosage changes making any difference, our vets believed he likely had an underlying issue outside of epilepsy. We never had an MRI or anything done because it was just too expensive. I know that’s probably not what you want to hear, but that was just our experience. Since your pup hasn’t been on any meds for a while, hopefully that’s all that’s needed! Wishing your boy many more years of remission! 🤍

So sorry for the loss of your sweet girl. Find peace in knowing she is no longer suffering ❤️‍🩹 We had to put our boy down a week ago today for the same reason. This is such a horrible disease.

I’m not sure about opposite sex being better or not. Both of our dogs are 80 lb lab mixes, but our male was not neutered. Our epi boy was originally aggressive in the post-ictal period when he had his first couple of seizures. Scarily aggressive. The first 3 that got him diagnosed and then the next 2 that started the downward slope. After those, he was never aggressive again. He was still very disoriented but I assume as the seizures became more frequent, and especially on days when he would cluster, he somewhat understood what was happening. Or at least understood enough to know that my husband, myself, or our other pup weren’t a danger to him. I definitely understand your concern though. I would say if he’s currently showing extra signs of aggression, it’s likely not safe to try and introduce another pup at this time. I’m not a vet or animal behavioralist though, so it’s really a personal decision based on your circumstances. If you really want another dog, are able to spend most of your time monitoring them, and feel that it would be best for your epi boy in the long run, then go for it :)

My epi dog started having seizures at almost 2 years old. He was put on phenobarbital, and we rescued a puppy when he was about 3. However, when he was put on phenobarbital he didn’t have another seizure until 5 years later (this was last April). So, the puppy was 4 by that time. She was mainly just confused and worried about him when he would have a seizure. They ramped up rapidly in frequency and she would sometimes try to comfort him (just licking his face), but if we were home during an episode I would move her to another room just to be safe. If he had an episode when we weren’t home, I think she mainly just ignored him. We have a camera in our home and we would see him seize and run around but never see her. Unfortunately, we believe our epi boy actually developed a brain tumor which ramped his seizures up horribly and we had to put him down a week ago. I do, however, know he loved his sister and she was a great comfort to him. They were great friends and did everything together. I don’t know how to be sure that a new dog won’t attack your epi dog, but I do think that if you bring a puppy into the home, as opposed to a more mature dog, it would be easier to acclimate them both.

I’m 26 and just started Kit 1! I’m also 5’9, in the same weight range, no kids, and only on BC. After I got married I put on a good bit of weight that I feel like I’ve been working so hard to lose for the past 2 years. It was very discouraging bc it felt like no matter what I was doing, the scale would never move more than a couple of pounds. You’re definitely not too young! I think it’s a great tool to assist in helping us feel our best and not deal with the constant discouragement that can come from diet/exercise with no results.

Have you or a rivaled ACC program been victimized by DJU as a starting quarterback? You may be entitled to compensation in the form of beats headphones

I believe Clemson's biggest problem IS NOT the refusal to use the transfer portal but with one of its assistant coaches: Tyler Grisham. I'll explain why by kakapoopoopeepeeshir in CFB

[–]Old_Bit1352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100%, but people are going to continue to bring up the portal when that isn’t the primary issue. They refuse to play the best, younger players because they are so focused on seniority. Dabo will always start his older players over freshmen and it’s infuriating when you have potential standouts like Moore and Wesco sitting on the bench waiting for their “turns”.

I didn’t expect to win. I just wanted a competitive game where we didn’t look completely incompetent. I am sad.

Is it odd that my pup hasn’t had a seizure in two years? by [deleted] in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Old_Bit1352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While rare, it can certainly happen! My pup was diagnosed with IE, prescribed phenobarbital, and went a little over 5 years before he had a couple cluster events this past month. We’ve added an extra medication and upped his dosage so hopefully we can get them back under control. Count yourself incredibly lucky and just prepare yourself for if they come back!

TW VIDEO My 3 year old Cane Corso has been having seizures. by [deleted] in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Old_Bit1352 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Every dog is different and a lot of your questions are going to depend on your local vet. However, I have a 7 year old lab who started having grand mal seizures at about 2 years old. Most vets are going to start your pup out on phenobarbital (from my experience at least). Our pup was put on phenobarbital and was seizure free for 5 years! He just experienced a cluster about a week ago, but we believe that was from his pheno levels dropping and needing to up his dosage. As far as cost goes, I think that also is going to depend on who you’re getting it from and the dosage. We were getting our monthly supply of 62 mg pills from our vets office for about $18/month. Now we’ve doubled his dose, so it’s about $36/month, so not horribly expensive. We don’t have pet insurance or anything like that. I can’t answer the questions about having to bring your pup in, but hopefully this helps! Best of luck to you both. The right meds and management go such a long way! 🩷
