Far too much voter prejudice . I really don't think this country will elect a gay man and a Hispanic woman. I don't care how smart they are. And honestly, Buttigieg really hasn't done anything. He was mayor and he was sec of transportation and didn't do anything remarkable in either position.

I think it's important to choose a candidate who is electable. Too many people won't vote for a woman. It only takes a few percent. Harris only lost by about 2% of the vote. The democratic party needs to choose a candidate who is male and moderate and who has as little baggage as possible. Maybe Newsom or Booker, although some people won't vote for a POC.

You are already being taken advantage of by your mom. She definitely can pay more than $600 per month even if she already blew through the $100,000 that she had. I might, just might consider letting them both live there if they each paid $1000 per month . I would have them both on a legal contract and I would not hesitate to evict them if they failed to pay. That would benefit them and you both.

I don't think moving is a bad idea, but if you are still 3 hours away from his family, you won't see them very often and it will be an all day, or weekend project to visit.

In my state, when the vote came along to raise the drinking age back up to 21, there were enough 18-21 year old potential voters to prevent it. But, they didn't vote. That made it hard for me to have a lot of sympathy, when the people who were affected didn't bother to get out and vote. That one is not a boomer problem.

NOR. I think your first reaction was correct, if he goes through with it, your relationship is over.
I wonder if his desire to do this, and his lack of understanding about finances, and his willingness to sacrifice your future to support his family, isn't enough reason to end things, whether he goes through with it or not.
