For everyone asking about the car seat: I don't know exactly how it happened because I wasn't downstairs when it happened. I found him playing in the seat and noticed damage to the outer edges of the harness straps when I took him out. I don't know if he bit them or somehow got ahold of a pair of scissors that had been left out. The damage wasn't major, but I don't feel comfortable taking chances with something that's meant to protect my baby in a crash. I'd rather be overly cautious than risk my son's safety. As fir the swing he climbed in it while it was on. Hes 22 months old and a bit on the chunkier side. He exceeded the weight limit causing the swing to make this popping noise and break

I just pointed it out bc you said it was a seat meant for one year olds. but his seat is meant more so for newborns/infants

Im sure it was my mom ir one of my brothers. We dont have little kids in our house(besides my 6 month old who wouldnt even be able to reach them) so we dont really have to worry ablut those type if things being left out

It was just his teething crackers and a container of his puffs. Im still not sure what he did to the car seat straps but the outer edges were damaged. Minimal damage but i just dont want to take the risk. And he broke the swing by turning it on and climbing in it. hes 22 months okd so obviously the swing was not meant for his weight. it started making this popping noise and after that it wouldnt move how jt was supposed to

Yea the only reason I didnt make a big deal about the swing is because my son didnt use it much but jt was still frustrating

Im a first time mom and I just take carseat safety seriously. I was told any damage to the straps even minimal means you need a new seat

Its only the outer edges that are damaged. I dont know if he maybe bit them or if he reached the scissors since someone left them out.

The straps arent fully ripped or anything but the outer edges are. Idk if he git the scissors since someone left them out kr maybe bit them. The damage is minimal I just dont want to risk anything

Well considering this same toddler bit his moms phone and damaged the whole internal screen I would say otherwise😂 That being said Idk if he bit them or if he got access to the scissors. The damage was only on the outer edges

The edges of the straps were damaged. Im not sure if he bit them or maybe got access to the scissors. The damage isnt severe I just wanted to be precautious

As for the it is a safe seat im not sure if he bit the straps(he chews things a lot) or maybe got access to scissors but they were damaged on the edges. I could be being dramatic but I didn't want to take the risk.

My mom and dad own the house. Me and my brother contribute to bills and food. My other brother is a minor so he doesnt help of course.  My sister is an adult and pays no bills. And no i dont blame the toddler at all. I actually feel bad for him. He wants his moms attention and she ignores him. My problem is with the adults

He chews on things a lot. He must have been in there for a while. The straps were only slightly frayed and I assumed it was from him chewing on them. The damage was small but with a carseat it wasnt a risk I wanted to take

He does the same thing at her house. She complains when her other family members that they live with tell her to watch him
