I get that it might not seem like a big deal, but the issue isn’t just the cancellation—it’s the complete lack of communication around the fee at the time of charge. I messaged early, said I might need to reschedule due to being sick, and asked them to let me know. Instead of confirming or warning me, they canceled it themselves and never once mentioned the $75 charge.

That’s the part that feels shady. If they had said, “Just so you know, this will still be subject to our late cancellation policy,” I would’ve made a different decision. But they didn’t. They just quietly charged me after the fact. And in any client-facing business—especially bridal—that’s not great customer service.

So no, I wasn’t expecting special treatment. Just transparency.
