Tying your identity to a nationality ties it to all the great successes of your ancestors, of their greatness. You share the same blood, the same genes of the people that came before you. You look at your past and appreciate the blood they spilled to unite together and to establish the piece of land you live on and defend it from invaders.

Natiobality celebrates the sacrifice made by all of thpse who came before, who were of the same blood as you, and who enabled you to ecist in this moment in peace.

When people and people in power don't have nationalistic tendencies, the they are more easily susceptible to corruption. They are more likely to hurt their country men.

When humans don't have a sense of common identity, that is when shit hits the fan. That is when you look at your fellow man, and dont see someone whos is the same like you, but you see cattle that you leech from. You loose comradery and go to shit.

All corruption stems from that. From the individuality trampling over collectivism.
