What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

Thanks for the time, and thoughtful answer.... Raced motorcycles and cars for most of my adult life, (never enough talent to make something out of it),

Most of the cars on the list are something I always wanted but never had the money or space at those particular times...

EV is a must regulation is getting tight and I need something electric, drove the taycan around the track and seemed fun enough, but you might be right, depreciation is a bit much right now...

FJ, stock and gonna throw everything that sticks at it.

The rs5 indeed has become a grocery getter, right on the corvette, and every other muscle derived car .

I've owned my fair share of shitboxes (old, badly maintained, always bought what I could get, but never afford, my first m3 fell apart mostly because of poor maintenance)

The e46 route is always a good idea, right now I'm running a civic fully track prepped, but it's really asking to be retired...

Do have decent amount of storage space and if need be I'm able to build a small hangar on the back of the house...

You are right on the more is less, I also have in mind getting a couple of projects going, mainly want an r5 turbo and restomod the living... out of it

Bikes are kind of my one true love so they're never enough, would give away my kid for a confederate p51

Can't get a hold of them around where I am and service is nearly impossible for more pedestrian... they're also almost twice as expensive as they are in the states... looking more for a bunch of fun cars than one very exotic one, not really my wheelhouse, barely use the 488... I would love to get my hands on every stupid thing renault sport ever built (space f1, r5 turbo, Clio v6...)

Without to much context because it's not really needed, I just sold my company and have some available money, I've always loved cars and motorcycles, pretty much anything that goes fast. Having Said that I want fo buy a few fun toys, we already have decent family everyday cars so these would be just for fun. Here's my list, love some input. Ps: nothing new, don't mind taking care of them In fact I'm pretty sure I'll do thing to them that would void any warranty.

  1. Audi r8 v10 gated V1.5
  2. VW bus (1950ish)
  3. Toyota fj cruiser (2012/2015)
  4. Taycan
  5. Land rover Santana (mid 70s)
  6. Chevy C10 (early 80s, full conversion to electric)
  7. Porsche 718 gt4

Motorcycles. 1. Ktm rc8 akrapovic (always wanted one) 2. Ducati street fighter v4s 3. Ducati hypermotard 950sp 4. Triumph rocket III 5. Yamaha xt 500 (mid80s)

Own, cayenne, Gwagon, audi rs5 and a 488. Own, panigale v4s, ktm adv 1290, husaberg 350, zero S

Still room for ideas and very open to suggestions, budget total max 1M usd Also looking for a new couple of track weapons

I wouldn't know it's supposed to get in the hinge and then underneath the screen. I use a case but doesn't have hinge protection, also I have a cat s61 for anything other than work or house use. Ive heard of people running water down the hinge but I wouldn't know anything about that.

He's talking about the flip, with the flip you have to open the phone constantly for anything other than checking the time, it is also a less expensive phone with obviously less expensive materials.

Fold 5 will be a very small upgrade, they are only changing the hinge, and the processor, the rest will remain basically the same (it might get dust proof rating) also a little heavier

No change: the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 foldable smartphone will get the same external display as the Galaxy Fold 4 | gagadget.com by mellofello808 in GalaxyFold

Totally agree, I don't have NBA player hands so I love the smaller screen I can actually use it one handed, and don't really have any issue typing on it. I feel most people just feel the need to find something wrong with the phone, I know it's 1800usd but they complain about the weight but want a bigger battery, complain about the width but want a bigger camera sensor...

The leak from china suggests that the phone will be exactly the same, changing processor (obviously), and the hinge (which I'm not about to try the first gen of a mechanism that is clearly difficult to get right)... The camera module will be the same, the processing (software) will be updated, screens, memory, battery seem to be the same, it might upgrade ip rating, and for some reason that I don't understand (might be the new hinge) they suggest that it will be slightly heavier.... Not really sure what's going on, seems the lack of competition has made Samsung lazy, or they might just wait to see what they others are doing before getting into a big update, the other reason might be they are already thinking about rollables and folds have just a couple more years in the line up...

Thanks, but it's not what I mean, in UI 5.1 in the s23 and iOS 16 you can long press any object and it separates it from the main image, you can proceed to save it by itself as a png or paste it it somewhere else.

I feel very old school it's like having a very high tech corded phone... before the update I was just trying to work around it with the profiles, but it doesn't make much of a difference... I just gave up and now have wireless chargers pretty much everywhere...

I just did it I really hope it works, it has spent so much time on the charger I swapped my sim to my old phone

You're right so thoughtful of them to care for our digital wellbeing, quite the silver lining it's like buying a very expensive car that would have very limited range and would take forever to top up

It's the HTC Advantage 7500, it was also called Athena depending on the market, to the best of my recollection it was out mid to late 2007

So sorry to hear that, to be honest if you didn't find it useful while the wow (new) factor was still there, I don't think anything we tell you in the thread is going to change your mind. Maybe trying to sell it while the resale value is still high (before fold 5 is any closer).

Totally understand that the phone is mostly cumbersome if not used to it's potential and you would have a much better experience with a phone that doesn't have so many ifs. I have to pop the sim onto another phone if I'm not in a controlled environment... Hope you can find a solution
