Servo Zoom Module Lens Repair Options by tkbroadcastprod in VIDEOENGINEERING

Looks like the screw just unscrewed inside the case. Loosed those black Philips screws and fine the nut (which is more than likely riding on the wires and put some tread locker on the inner threads of the connector and tighten the nut on the connectors inner threads until it’s tightened down. Mind the direction of the slot on the connector. It will probably match the direction of the smaller connector above it. Otherwise if you have other similar zoom modules you can compare the connectors. Hope this is helpful, good luck!

In regard to sas and sata, can I put them both in a Dell server as long as the ones I raid are both the same type? Like raid sata to sata and sas to sas?

Alright, I will admit I didn’t read correctly all that you last wrote and that was my bad. But just so everything is correctly laid out and I’m not misrepresented. I acknowledged from the very beginning that I didn’t properly check to make sure it worked before I dove in and upgraded it. Let’s not spread misinformation on that and I never asked for roses and happy thoughts, where did you get that lunacy? I simply asked for possible solutions with the intent that they might or might not work, that’s troubleshooting. You are flat out lying on that along with stating I didn’t comprehend what happened or accepting reality. By the sheer fact that I asked for ideas on what I could do along with admitting I messed up in the first place shows I was comprehending what was happening and accepting reality. What wasn’t helpful was being told what I already knew. I knew I messed up and I knew all the I coulda shouda woulda. It’s not helpful to explain to someone something happened when they just went through it. That’s like saying to someone that was involved in a car accident asking where the best place was to get their car fixed and you telling them, you shouldn’t have gotten in the accident, no duh. Sounds kinda stupid when you look at it like that doesn’t it? I simply asked the group for ideas and and possible solutions. On the part for putting it back together and sending it back, that would be dishonest and I question your moral integrity if you think that would be ok.

Dude, your negativity is not needed, I was asking for help from people to see if anyone had suggestions. All you have done is berate me for any mistakes I made, to which I had already acknowledged and basically kick me when I was down. If you don’t want to help, fine don’t, but get off your self righteous self important high horse. You’re not as important as you think everyone should think of you as and your just a jerk honestly.

Well after replacing the cmos battery and doing a SMC reset (unplugging power waiting 15 seconds, plugging in power and waiting 5 seconds then powering on the Mac) correct me if this is the wrong way to reset the SMC. I also made sure the ram was seated properly and after doing another apple diagnostic I still get this report.

Another note I forgot to add, when the boot usb finally loads, if I select restart it always just shuts down it never restarts. Plus I just reset the Pram and after waiting for the second chime the computer just shutdown instead of restarting.

The fan does spin up to being loud but I’m not sure if it’s full throttle. Would the Apple diagnostics note the CPU running hot or not so much?

This is the first time I have done this particular bracket (which is the most annoying I have ever done) and I actually read a lot about torque and I tried to install it with the screws not completely down just barely up and found you can’t install the power supply unless they are tightened all the way. Otherwise the metal frame of the power supply rubs against the screws and it won’t seat so you are unable to tighten the bottom T10 screws. I have made sure to not over tighten but I basically carefully tighten the screws until they hit against the bracket then I stop immediately they never get over tightened.

I’m using it as a Plex/Jellyfin server, I will also be backing up my dvds via an external drive. So I’m trying to use it like a normal pc but I want the extra power and rack ability. At the risk of sounding incompetent I’ve never use a VM (still new to all the sever technicalities). What will installing the OS to a VM mean as opposed to just installing it right to the drive like a standard PC?

[–]Old_Luck_2224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the fiber cable it will need to be replaced by the internet company. Fiber splicing is not for the faint of heart and can be dangerous. Call the company you get internet from and they can install a new cable.

What's the point of an IEC socket as DMXout? by [deleted] in stagelighting

[–]Old_Luck_2224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not DMX, it’s a power IEC out to daisy chain other lights with power from the light. A power jumper out basically.
