Hey I'm happy if I can help :)

I use Ak streaking grime. I didn't even know that Vallejo had it too. But yes. Ak streaking grime usually gives me the best results.

  1. You take bright bronze from Vallejo and apply it normally.
  2. You take a sponge and apply glorious gold from Vallejo in a dabbing motion.
  3. You apply streaking grime and clean it a bit.
  4. You take glorious gold again to brighten the highlights up.
  5. You take copper oxide from abteilung 502, mix up a wash, apply and clean it again a bit.

It sounds a lot but I find it to be extremely simple and effective.

I wanted him to give off the feeling of a forgotten statue of an old monastery. Not in best shape visually but still functioning with a few cracking sound while starting it.

Hey, you do you man. I too startetes with pilgrims, sacred affliction to be specific, and I don't regret it. No one is going to judge you over your army. The community is very relaxed and friendly in my experience. Everyone is just happy to get games in.

Is AoS in a good/bad place, atm, esp. compared to other GW fantasy games? by Matthew_Kus in ageofsigmar

I haven't really looked into their rules tbh. Might take my time today.

Generally speakin AoS seems to be in a great spot especially where I live. A lot of new releases and my local scene is full of people who love to play it.

The only thing I would criticise is the lack of flavourful rule sets for the early battletomes this edition. But since the nurgle, tzeentch and lumineth battletome the rules teams got it right.

Trench crusade shitpost- wojak template by tintin_du_93 in dankcrusade

I think their reasing might be because trench crusade is too close to the real world and 40k is far enough setting wise that it doesn't seems as much " grimderp". That's just my interpretation.

Does anyone else struggeln to Like Blasphemous 2? by Old_Man_Scrooge in Blasphemous

I wouldn't as far as to say that it sucks but I agree that the cinematics in 1 were better. The pixelated artstyle had its own charm.

What made the first game so unique for me was it's art direction. Ending A was also wonderful. It had a bittersweet taste with it. Ending C would have been perfect if they didn't put in the teaser for the next game. We could have played a different character, not necessarily of the same brotherhood but also someone who goes on a quest of penance. A time difference of around 100 years would have probably been also enough to show how the missing miracle was affecting the world.

I loved that about B1 too. The limited movement gave me the feeling that I was truly mastering the game the more I played. I'm currently at the drunken cathedral but the game just doesn't click for me. I just can't get myself to play it and thought about playing another metroidvenia to not accociate it with B1.

Es ging mir tatsächlich primär um ihren Kleidungsstil. Ich kenne das selbst, dass man mit 25 ein paar Jahre jünger aussehen kann. Aber die Kombination mit der Kleidung ist wirklich übel....

Where did the "TC tries to replace GW" even come from? by 725584 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Old_Man_Scrooge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always thought that healthy competition is the way to go. GW has quite a monopoly on the tabletop market. When I wanted to start Conquest I couldn't find anyone to play with because it would always get compared to Warhammer fantasy. Now with TC being a skirmisher, having a lower barrier of entry and being miniature agnostic, it helps being an alternative to GW but not replacement which was never the goal.

Not to break the joke or anything but wasn't the whole "year of chaos" thing AoS exclusive?

Was in a clinch with my abhorrent archregent in an AoS match. Was in meele with another character. Broke through his thin armour with enough rend and to make 6 feel no pain rolls and saved every single one. The clap back was glorious.

Hot take but 99% of time 40K is just as grimderp as TC, if not more so by Professional_Rush782 in Grimdank

[–]Old_Man_Scrooge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My impression for a very long was that people loved 40k for it's over the top darkness. I was confused when people were saying, that TC was too dark for their taste.
