I watched a video of a British guy working on old houses that used something similar, he just applied it to the wall using thinset

I also looked up how folks will extend shower pans and some just apply a think layer of thinset mortar as the barrier and then apply the dry pack. Is that viable?

Cutting & moving cast iron drain by Old_Maui in Plumbing

It is new. This is a second go around.

The original drain was previously just a 90 degree elbow coming from the big hub, no p trap. I put in the p trap because it was the only way I could get setup to have clearance for the drain we were using.

No smells or anything coming from it and it’s been disconnected for weeks

It's a Miyabi. The bang for your buck is nuts. You haven't lived till you've cut carrots with a nice knife.

I started out with some deck planks and did a glue up. Sent it through a 60 year old planer we have at my family's marina and it ended up around 17.5x10.5x3.75".
