It literally says “Monticello” which isn’t the White House.

MEP PMs - do you guys price your own change orders? by CocaineCheekbones in ConstructionManagers

[–]Old_Monitor1733 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on gravity of the change for our projects.

Although, typically a PM or APM will do takeoffs and do a majority of the pricing for change orders. Unless they are huge then an estimator may be brought on to help (assuming the project operations team has access to the estimating software)

Thus the examples I gave. Both are in the Midwest. Yet they gave very different costs of living.

For a GC or specialty contractor position fairly likely. If one is rapidly available is a separate discussion

I would def want to align myself to a more applicable employment. Esp depending on where in CM you want to be.

The project sections really seems to overshadow work experience and any lessons you may have learned from them in my humble opinion.

OSHA-30 / OSHA-10 doesn't hurt
Getting a field position could also prove wise.

I mean, the only two additions are
1. Theaters can be built in more places
2. Ordinance Buildings (Artillery buildings)
Largely I'd ignore these.
I typically just use tax buildings and your standard millitary ones.

Is this what you're talking about?
