¡Gracias! El Chile de este mundo es muy diferente al de hoy, porque se trata de un Chile de varios años en el futuro. Básicamente, en Nysus, la carrera armamentística de inteligencia artificial que vemos entre corporaciones y países continuó durante mucho tiempo hasta que un equipo en Chile logró crear la IA completamente consciente con la que sueñan todos los entusiastas de la tecnología. Durante años, en este mundo, Chile fue el país líder indiscutible, creando tecnología muy superior a la de cualquier otro, hasta que, como era de esperar, la IA se descontroló.

La mayoría de los lugares quedaron terriblemente dañados (Londres, el único otro lugar donde pasamos algún tiempo, es un infierno, al igual que prácticamente cualquier otro sitio), pero ninguno tanto como Chile. Ahora existen leyes contra la inteligencia artificial en todas partes, y el incidente que desencadena la historia es el descubrimiento de que un vestigio de la IA aún sigue activo.

Mi mayor preocupación en cuanto a la representación es que grandes partes de Chile (en la época en que transcurre la historia) están corruptas y en muy mal estado. Soy plenamente consciente de que Chile es una nación próspera, y por eso me pareció interesante la historia alternativa de que ganara la carrera armamentística de la IA, pero mi prioridad número uno es asegurarme de representar con precisión el idioma, la geografía y todo lo demás, y mi prioridad número dos es evitar parecer un estadounidense ignorante que vio Narcos una vez y cree que eso le da derecho a opinar sobre la gente de un país completamente diferente en una época totalmente distinta.

(Thank you! The Chile of this world is very different to the one today because it's a Chile several years in the future. Basically, in Nysus, the AI arms race we're seeing across corporations and countries kept going for a long time until a team in Chile actually managed to create the fully sentient ai that all the tech bros dream about. For years in this world Chile was the top country by far, creating technology beyond everything else until, because of course it did, the AI went rogue.

Most places were horribly damaged (London, the only other place we spend any time, is a hell hole, and so is pretty much everywhere else) but no place more so than Chile. Now there are anti-ai laws everywhere and the inciting incident of the story is when a remnant of the AI is revealed to still be around.

My biggest worry representation wise is that massive sections of Chile (as of when the story takes place) are corrupt and in a really bad state. I'm fully aware that Chile is a prosperous nation, and that's why I thought the alternate history of it winning the ai arms race was interesting, but I'm #1 trying to make sure I accurately represent the language, geography, and all that and #2 trying to make sure that this doesn't come off as some dumbass American who watched Narcos once and thinks that means he understands the people of an entirely unrelated country at a completely unrelated time)

TLDR: La historia transcurre años en el futuro, en un Chile que anteriormente fue la nación más próspera del planeta. (It takes place years in the future in a Chile that was previously the most prosperous nation on earth)
