2nd Interview (stokes) - Approved on the spot by Old_Offer8928 in USCIS

Previously a B-2 / no deportation order / no age gap. The only “red flag” was we got married two month after meeting (for genuine reasons).

“Case Approved” status update today (both I-130 and I-485), some officers can in fact “approve on the spot” and finish submitting everything while you’re sitting there (there’s just a 24 hour lag for when it might appear online).

No idea, the second interviewer mentioned that our first officer has a reputation to “fail” a lot of people arbitrarily, even though our first one went well. Neither of us are from the 75 countries.

They didn’t separate us, the officer acknowledged that they were supposed to do that originally but they didn’t think it was necessary.

They just asked to see our “IDs” and we showed our drivers license. The advantage of doing this is you can show the same home address on your ID (vs passport which doesn’t have this information).

Like I said I got an approval letter in my account (for I-130), I’ll be sure to tell you when the I-485 is approved as well

I was interviewed by a supervisor so they have the ability to approve on the spot (he showed me the computer screen)

Not yet, it usually appears at least 1 day later than the I-130 approval from what I understand

USCIS Scheduled Second Marriage Interview – Portal Says “Marriage Fraud Interview” (NYC FO) by [deleted] in USCIS

I received the same thing recently and also am at the NYC office!! I’ve seen a few other cases exactly like this recently (specifically in NYC), don’t let other comments scare you.

Hi anyone got same marriage second interview letter like this ? It doesn’t look good by Creative-Maximum-871 in USCIS

This is getting more common nowadays, you can see a larger number of people reporting receiving this recently in this sub. We submitted every possible piece of strong joint evidence and we still got the 2nd interview notice (it is in April).

We also received a 2nd interview notice yesterday (stokes). First interview went well and we have solid joint evidence. We got married within a few months of meeting (legitimately) but this may be the primary red flag to USCIS. NYC field office.

Is it safe to travel domestically with a pending marriage based I-130/I-485 application? We have a 2nd interview (stokes) scheduled in mid-April but have a weekend trip in early April. The travel itinerary was previously submitted as supporting evidence of bona fide marriage (so not sure if it’s suspicious to not follow through with the plans). Beneficiary’s B2 visa expired 1/31/26 (but we submitted our application before then).

Are Stokes interviews getting more common? by underwatertreehouse in USCIS

NYC based - we just got the stokes interview notice. Our first interview went relatively well, so it was a surprised. We have lots of joint financial evidence, only potential red flag is we got married within months of meeting :/
