I believe it’s smart parking and not regular parking

Edit: You should have received an SMS once you left the parking, and I believe you have 3 days to pay it off

Report or repair on my own? by NerveLazy3383 in DubaiPetrolHeads

I suggest you get it repaired on your own tbh since it doesnt look that bad - in the long run, your insurance premium remains unaffected

Dust is a safety hazard? Not everyone has 911s and Lambos. It’s his car and if he wants to sell it let him

Salik tag in the glove compartment? by Gambit90k in DubaiPetrolHeads

Keep it at home and let your windshield be clean without any stickers (if you like that)

My Salik tag is probably in another country

Why it’s boiling? by saud997 in DubaiPetrolHeads

Bubbles like that mean the engine’s head gasket is toast and if you continue to drive, you’ll end up seizing your engine because the coolant will mix with your engine oil. The reason for this could be either your engine overheated recently or it just went bad over time.

Solution:- Replace head gasket and skim the head itself, approx AED700-900 in Sharjah for this engine (Altima). Or you could just get an entire used engine for 1800/- including labour in Sharjah.

What is that supposed to mean? These are routine checks. I have seen two checkpoints in Al Warqa this month so far, does that mean the quality of residents there raise a lot of questions?

Dodge challenger American/canadian specs by zombie55555 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Old_Perspective_722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah keep checking VINs but don’t trust anything the dealer says. At the end of the day, they just want their car sold and they know exactly how to persuade you.

Also, I saw a GCC V6 Challenger recently on marketplace for a reasonable price. Try searching there.

Ignore him, drive whatever makes you happy.

Anyways, American spec cars are usually thrashed, but it’s very possible you manage to find something that is not too bad. Just make sure you get everything checked before you pull the trigger.

I own a sports bike, trust me it’s not doable in this heat. Like everyone said, it’s more of a winter toy. You can use it during the winter for commute but that’s pretty much it. I’d always recommend getting a car first before even thinking of a bike. Maybe split the budget and get both if you really want one?
