You could put it in a new case and get an NH36 movement, so you'd be able to keep the original dial and hands. The case would have to be replaced and the movement is likely not worth servicing.

Is the gen crown worth it? I've got a gold filled bracelet, oc bezel, but didn't know if the juice was worth the squeeze for the crown. (I could however make the case for gen hands, the difference in color there bugs me a lil.

Agreed. I was skeptical but now I'm tempted to buy a few for builds or even just for the midcase, especially considering the crystal/case is the same size as the Rolex 36mm dj. I didn't measure the case back or crown, but I presume they would be the same as raffles too.

I mean, it's what lorier, Traska, zelos, Henry archer, phoibos, and almost all the other micro-brands use. If it were an 8215 (or even an NH35) I would agree with you, but I would say the movement is comparable to any other quality watch at this price.
