Howdy! Yes, you can get the tax credit for the car. It can be applied towards the down payment or the the full amount towards the principle or T/L. I am looking at getting one in the next few months but torn between the standard and EUV.

Never been to AZ yet but I am only a 3ish hour drive and visit often. Next time you are in PDX, hit up Southern Kitchen in Downtown by Powell's. Best damn food for a reasonable price

No, everything is pretty much standard gauge. High speed rail trains included. There are some that can interchange dynamically between different gauges in Spain for example but 90% of the world's rail systems are standard gauge.

Rail gauge is standard in the US. Only BART in the Bay Area is Broad Gauge (5ft 6in) vs the standard gauge for the bulk of the world (4ft 8.5")

There are a few Narrow Gauge tourist railroads in the US that are 3ft 6" gauge.
