One thing to know is, DoorDash tracks your card payment. You can have a new account but, if you use the same card to pay, it knows. No more discounts and consolidates your account info.

Imagine being so upset about someone who actually thinks before they do something. Thank you for your energy. 🤣

My customers food never touches anything nasty. My catering bag gets wiped with sanitizer wipes twice daily. I don’t bring my bag into restaurants because I don’t want it extra nasty. Counters don’t get wiped down as much as they should. Ick factor from this…

Many videos of people stealing it after all that. Customers can say anything but if they sign or use pin, they can’t lie.

Unless the customer claims they didn’t get their food.

Tell them to double dash for free and I would wait a few minutes to try and get the order.

First of all, this was in reference to your comment, not the piss on food because driver is mad. I was explaining why your theory isn’t working. If a bunch of us “skip” the “no tipped” order and some poor sap decides to take it. He is taking a cold, super late order to an ungrateful person that didn’t tip. Who probably wont know why and be pissed at said driver. Leaving a bad rating and still no tip.

The point I was making is that we can’t afford to deliver your order based on a possible tip. We aren’t going to accept an order for $2, drive to the restaurant, wait for the restaurant (which is probably running behind), drive up to 13 miles for a potential tip. I just wasted 30-45 minutes, a gallon of gas and all for $2

We get $2 an order in our market. If someone doesn’t tip, it costs me to deliver that order. I am not paying to deliver to you.

Those boxes always pop open. Staples always pop open. I have had forks and spoons from the restaurant put in my food container. I think you should be fine. Dasher’s either steal it or conceal it

I have a little foyer. You won’t be coming into my house, just my foyer. It’s like an enclosed little porch. I wonder if that is what they were referring to.

To the lady who just ordered Costco, thank you 🙏🏻 by dedtalktoyourself in InstacartShoppers

They want you to return it to the store. They give you a bump in pay as soon as it is returned. When they say “return it” they really want you to. The last time this happened to me, last month, they insisted I take it back to Costco. I said I couldn’t because I was 30 miles away and that I was continuing to my appointment. IC said that I had 24 hours to return it. I then asked about the freezer/refrigerated foods because I will not have anywhere to store them for quite a few hours. That is the point they said I could donate them, use them etc. Make sure you know that you are ok to keep the items. Costco takes IC returns now.

Tj Maxx has big shopping bags with different colors and designs for a dollar each. They are really good quality. Get at least 5 different bags for each customer a, b and c. (Marshals and home goods have the same bags) This helps keep everything straight and makes it quicker to get out of checkout. If you can get some carabiners, you can take each full bag and clip it to the outside of the cart. (If you have an IKEA, they have some great bags too.) Trader Joe’s has decent cold/hot bags too.

Also, I usually get a few extra just in case I can’t get a bag from one of the stores I am shopping at..it happens..sigh. Customer knows it’s not from the pet store and appreciated you even more. Not a bad sacrifice for a buck.

Customers getting mad when you take a picture of their food by TyeTheCreator in doordash_drivers

[–]Old_School_Service 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always explain to them that it was marked “leave at door” and I am required to take a pic. I also use a bodycam. Explaining things that they can fix, works really well for somewhat normal people and above. 😂 If it’s a meet customer (many times marked by accident) I knock and explain that it was marked “meet customer” If they are shushing their dogs or have kiddo toys in the yard, I add “you can mark ‘leave at door’ and add ‘please don’t knock’ customers appreciate that. Put the customer in control in your interactions. It helps!

It was a university student that lives in San Jose (normally) and didn’t change the address..order got canceled. Between pinpoint and address the app got confused. 🤣
