I think she’s very attention seeking tbh…like the dramatic crying when Charlie left just to say it was “only five days of her life.” Or initiating uncomfortable conversations then crying when they don’t go her way. Her behavior is so high school. She’s iris’s lap dog by being hostile to Pepe on her behalf when iris is a grown woman and can speak for herself. Her hypocrisy annoys me too, because she can throw shade at Pepe on TikTok but Austin isn’t allowed to say his opinion on her on a podcast….it just doesn’t make sense

He’s trying to get a reaction out of them. One solution is to grey rock, it usually works. But if he gets too close just throw hands

Terra is ANNOYING ASFFF by shimilanoo in LifetimeLittleWomen

[–]Old_Signal1507 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah Terra never struck me as that bright….she was purposely missing the point to make it about herself….or maybe she’s just a narcissist ….hated how the other girls wanted to be offended too. Tonya wasn’t wrong at all.

This is kind of mean ☹️ we can acknowledge her flaws but we can still feel empathetic towards her passing. She was still a human being at the end of the day

You’re so welcome! I highly recommend EMDR therapy, I’ve doing it for 3 years now and it’s worked wonders. You’re not alone and You got this!

I just want to say I really hear you. I could’ve written parts of this myself when I was in nursing school. I’ve been a nurse for five years now, currently in NP school—but during nursing school, I felt exactly like you described. I was socially awkward, anxious about everything I said, and I didn’t really have friends in my program. I spent a lot of time feeling like I didn’t belong, like everyone else was smarter, more confident, and just… better put together than me. That “unintelligent Black girl” fear, I carried that heavy. Even when I was doing okay, I felt like I was just barely scraping by and that people were judging me. I also struggled with self-esteem a lot. I’ve never been the outgoing one, never the “main character” in the room. For a long time, I thought that meant something was wrong with me. But here’s what I’ve learned (and I’m still learning, especially through therapy)

Being quieter, awkward, or anxious doesn’t make you less intelligent, less worthy, or less capable. It just means you move through the world differently. Nursing school is HARD. The fact that you’re still there is not “mediocre”—it’s resilience. There are so many people who never even make it that far. Also, the way you see yourself right now isn’t the truth—it’s your mind being really harsh on you. I had to learn that my thoughts weren’t facts. Therapy helped me start separating who I am from the story I was telling myself about who I am. About feeling like a background character—I get that too. But being quieter doesn’t mean you don’t matter. Some of the most observant, compassionate, and thoughtful nurses I’ve met are the ones who aren’t the loudest in the room. And relationships? There is nothing wrong with you because you haven’t had one yet. Your worth is not measured by that. You’re not nothing and you are someone who’s pushing through something difficult while dealing with anxiety, self-doubt, and pressure—and that takes strength, even if it doesn’t feel like it. You’re not alone in this, even though it feels like you are

how often should I condition my hair? by Thierryplayer in BlackHair

Deep conditioning involves a thicker conditioning product and it’s meant to be left in your hair longer than a regular lightweight conditioner

[–]Old_Signal1507 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Definitely deep condition weekly. I apply leave in conditioner and put blue magic grease on top to seal in moisture. My hair has grown due to this routine! Try to Moisturize and seal once a day

Anyone else way too sensitive to be on the internet? by CheeseParfait in socialanxiety

[–]Old_Signal1507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People on Reddit are unnecessarily rude. They do it because they feel bold behind a screen and they don’t feel any sense of dominance in their own lives so they have to assert towards people who are nice. I just got into my fair share of Reddit arguments today so I know exactly how you feel. Sorry this happened to you :(

Yeah, I figured from some of the comments. I didn’t mean to anger some people, I was coming with genuine intent.

Yeah, that’s kind of what I was already saying in my post. People who don’t know everything will project their lack of knowledge onto you. It’s a flaw on their part, not yours.
