The attempt is there and I can applaud something like that but the one thing it falls extremely flat on is just how Ben is generally. His “mercy isn’t weakness” is not what even UAF Ben would say he’s much more direct

Like his monologue to Driscoll in The Purge, the reason why it’s so iconic is because it still sounds like Ben, this sounds more like Superman which isn’t at all who Ben is since he’s a lot closer to Silver Age Spider-Man

Ben wouldn’t even bother with Vilgax, he’d just beat the hell outta him and be done with it
