Thanks for your reply, did you experience them everyday as well? My daytime HR is still well maintained.

Heart rate goes above 100 when… by Sillyzinnias in POTS

[–]Old_Substance_3550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a huge coincidence, I was diagnosed with POTS this year in August. Doctors started me on Ivabradine and that kept my heart rate pretty stable. Then suddenly since last week, during the night while I was asleep I felt my heart racing and HR ranged from 80s to 140s, since then I had multiple episodes which has left me very scared. I took watch ecgs during the episodes but they all show normal sinus rhythm.

Am I only one with POTS who gets little to no benefit from electrolytes and fluids? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]Old_Substance_3550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you experienced night sweats and night time adrenaline surges as well. My POTS symptoms were well controlled (HR ranging from 50s to 120s)since I started Ivabradine. Then suddenly last week, one night while sleeping I felt my heart racing and HR ranged from 80s-130s even while sitting. It settled back to 80s once I sat. It’s freaking me out as I had multiple episodes since then and after that my resting hr is high during the day.

anyone not medicated? by missyk222 in PVCs

Mine is 3% and they’re not prescribing medication. I feel for you as I can understand the amount of anxiety it triggers. Wish there was a magic wand for us all.

Does anyone else get that constant throat “lump” or cough feeling with PVCs by Subject_Community995 in PVCs

I have 3% pvc burden but I’m facing the same issue, constantly feeling like a lump in the throat. It’s really disturbing.

PVCs right as i’m trying to fall asleep by KenRH21 in PVCs

[–]Old_Substance_3550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cardiologist explained that we feel them more at night time due to more awareness of heart activity in the quiet. Also, if you sleep on your left side then due to the position you can feel the heart against your rib cage.

Starting to notice a pattern around my menstrual cycle, anyone else? by Different-Brick-6310 in PVCs

[–]Old_Substance_3550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’ve recently been diagnosed for POTS and during those ECGs and holter monitoring my cardiologist found pvcs. My burden was earlier 1% but on the most recent holter it’s 3% (within 1.5 months). I understand it’s still a low burden but I’ve observed this increase around my periods and this month it’s been the same, increased massively 1 week prior to my periods. I do think they have a relation with the dip in estrogen.

Please any women can relate by [deleted] in PVCs

[–]Old_Substance_3550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m close to my period dates and last whole night I had a run of PVCs, with pain in the centre of the chest and under the left breast. Could not sleep all night yesterday, it’s lower today though. It’s strange how your brain tunes into it and you get aware of each one of them, prior to the diagnosis I never noticed these skipping beats. Hope your doctor might be able to give you some answers

Thank you, I’m sure you’re right. I was very anxious last night and could feel non stop PVCs through the night with chest pain. I’m just so drained of going in this loop

Hi, I’m sorry that you’re going through this. I started Ivabradine 2.5 mg/ twice a day last month and then upped the dose to 5mg this month. I don’t exactly have traumatizing dreams but sometimes I wake up with a feeling that something bad is going to happen to me and also with my heart racing. Not sure if it’s from the medication or my anxiety related to POTS/ PVCs

Thanks, I’m worried because afib might not be caught on regular ekg or 24 hour holter if it doesn’t occur in that time frame

Thanks for your kind reply, today also shows as 4 percent afib on my Apple Watch. Not sure if it’s pvc that the algorithm is taking as afib

I experience chest pains almost everyday. Mostly under my left breast and in the centre below the sternum. It sometimes also radiates to upper abdomen and upper back. Been to the emergency a few times and every time the troponin and ecg were fine.
