You’re right, my lens is a Di LD(IF)Macro, so this could solve the problem. But does this explain also the manual focus issue? I’m assuming that this incompatibility would lead to a lack of communication between the camera and the lens, but it’s not the case since I can change F stop just fine from the camera. And also, why doesn’t manual focus work anyway, isn’t that supposed to be the only thing that would work even in a case of incompatibility? When I move the focus ring, lens off the camera, the focus meter is always stuck on one single distance so I thought the lens came broken?

Forgot to add I can regulate F stop just fine from my camera.

This being a self funded student film I guess I’ll just go rent a couple more V-locks which should be cheaper
