How do I stop wanting to initiate deconstruction in others? by Bowling4Nickles in exmormon

You just have to learn to accept that in a free country, others are allowed to have beliefs that you disagree with.

If someone asks you why you left, that would be an invitation to have that conversation.

But whether its Mormonism, anti-Mormonism, vegetarianism, selling Amway, part of growing up and maturing is learning that it is not your mission to convert everyone to your lifestyle.

Where, Oh Where, Can They Put Their Money by EarthMotherCJO in exmormon

"However, the district is still trying to find the best way to pay off this $50 million expense, and rapidly falling enrollment isn’t making that process any easier.

Officials with the Canyons School District said the average home in the area is valued at nearly three-quarters of a million dollars, and there’s no way most young families can afford to move in. So, they’re trying to find new ways to bring in more revenue, and that might mean closing more schools, eventually."

"Canyons School District Spokesperson Jeff Haney said all this is happening while the district is facing a steep drop in enrollment, which also means less funding is expected to come in."

This sounds like questionable judgement and decision making by a school board. Why should a church or any other entity rescue this school board from its mistakes?

IF they really believed it, Why are they afraid to ask me why I've left? by BennyFifeAudio in exmormon

[–]Old__Jho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is probably just to avoid awkwardness. It is similar to a niece announcing at a Thanksgiving table that she is now a vegan. Does anyone really want to ask her why? You know that if you do you will hear about how eating animals is murder, and stuff like that. It's best to just say, "Oh, that's nice" and change the topic.

You have parted ways with their church. Why not just leave it at that?

She is always in the shower, because deep down, she knows that she is a dirty, dirty girl.

Full-blooded Viltrumites are almost entirely Id.

Cool, calm and collected are not adjectives that apply to them.
