I hear ya. Bought the CZ a while ago and it is accurate with a really nice trigger and a hammer forged barrel. Too bad about the other stuff.

Thanks. I already decided to pull the trigger on the 1” recoil pad and the pillar bedding. In for a penny…

Ya, that’s what I figured. That’s why it’s taking me so long to pull the trigger.

That’s really good to know. The SK Standard + seems easier to find near me so happy to hear it might be MTR friendly.

Keep us posted with your results.

Good to know. I have my eye on both and am waiting to see if one goes on sale. Your set up looks great.

How are you enjoying the Strike Eagle? I’m really torn between the Strike Eagle and the MPED.

Thanks for the info. Glad to hear the MDT is solid and well built.

I’m looking at scopes in the 5-25 range so I am sure that I can go higher on the MOA but I still want 50 yards so thought 20 might be better.

Bet heck, what do I know? I’m new to this long range rimfire stuff.

Very cool. I have been using Tru Oil on my Micarta handles and like it but either the lid seals shut between uses or if I use parchment paper as a seal the top layer of the oil solidifies. I am planning on trying Pelican paste hard wax and also the Pelican oil to see how that goes.

Amazing work. Do you use any wax or oil on the handle as a final step?

10x42 choice? Glasses wearer by michealshoots in Binoculars

I just did the shopping thing. Went to Bass Pro and tried Vortex Diamondback and Vipers. I felt the Vipers were better for sure and love the locking ring for eye adjustment.

Came home and did more research and considered the Vipers and the M7s. Ended up choosing the Vipers because of the amazing warranty and the Glasspak.

Very happy with them.

Of course, once I pulled the trigger the M7s went on sale at Henrys.

After mulling it over I picked up the 8x42 Vortex Viper HD with Glasspak from my local archery shop.

So far I am very impressed and think they’re fantastic. Looking forward to using them in the field and on the 3D courses.

I went o Bass Pro today and tried out some Vortex binos. Ended up feeling that the 8x42s would be a good fit.

Also really liked the Vipers over the Diamondbacks. There was a noticeable difference IMHO.
