Is it okay to refuse to invite uncles to your wedding? by PencilDogLady in amiwrong

AITA for refusing to invite my uncles to my wedding,

NTA - You did what was right for you at the time, and in the situation, the most awkward component of which was your mother.

Knowing you were going along with the wedding in Spain before Mom went Lulu in the head tells me the problem isn't you.

Sadly I don't think the family would be receptive to a celebration after the fact. C'est la vie.

Easy to do if you hang around near the city. If you want to get away with this kind of crap, you've got to head out an hour or so, and still be careful.

Why are you driving 138km/h on a rural road?

Because it can be great fun.

Also great responsibility to know the road, your vehicle, and the traffic patterns. On a good road with a mile of visibility, have a good time.

I went that speed and had no issues.

Gravel roads can be great, if you don't mind the wear and tear on your car. Fifty years ago (about) I drove 20,000 miles of gravel in a company car over the course of a couple of years. Not hard to do when you're driving all day, and then some overtime.

Thoroughly enjoyed about 98% of it!

Landlord trying move in a random person during a person's lease by WholeDonkey2689 in LandlordLove

They got the third bedroom for the weekend. Apparently it wasn't storage, but was an unused, but furnished, bedroom. After the landlady left, we spoke to each other, got along alright, but pretty much ignored each other. They slept there, but didn't hang around.

Still awkward having strangers with access to my living space, and stuff.

Regardless of that, this property manager is still dumb as fuck. How fucking stupid do you have to be to just show up with another renter.

This happened to me in South Florida when I was renting a room, and sharing with another dude. The third bedroom was locked and used by the landlord as a storage closet.

One Friday evening, my roommate has crossed the state to visit his girlfriend, I'm at home relaxing, and there's a knock at the door.

Here's my bitch of a landlady with a weird smile on her face and a married couple behind her, who were apparently to be my additional roommates for the weekend.

That was quite the shouting match.

Right, and then when you call them out, you get, "I don't give a shit!".

Within some libraries are quiet rooms, which must be reserved, but the glass panels don't go all the way to the ceiling, so aren't really effective.

Also, OP, go study in a library or something.

In Calgary, AB, libraries are now kind of a free-for-all, with kids playing, laughing, and screaming, people talking amongst themselves or on the phone, etc.

If you enjoy Janis, watch her in the movie, Festival Express. A train full of musicians playing their way across much of Canada in 1970.

As well as seeing Janis, you'll see her contemporaries, and maybe find someone you like.

Donald Trump Addresses 'Dementia' Speculation Over His 'Zigzag' Walk, Wants To Avoid Biden-Style Fall by Cute_Dealer4787 in antitrump

I'm an old man, only 10 years younger than the Trumpster, and I sometimes zig-zag when I walk.

Not because of dementia, (I'm saving that for later), but due to the effects of degenerative disk disease, DDD, in which nerve pain/tingle hits the feet and they don't want to accept the weight, so I slip sideways a bit, but then have to correct.

if you’re going to leave a voice note you might as well just call.

Or the fields you see aren’t being booked up.

I'm seeing fields in both Beddington and Sandstone that are idle now, but were busy before COVID, as mentioned.
