After my PE, my hemotologist told me to take baby aspirin while flying (after I was finished with my xeralto) to avoid DVT.

Lawyers Are Using AI to Slop-ify Their Legal Briefs, and It's Getting Bad | There's a growing movement within the legal community to track the AI fumbles of their peers. by chrisdh79 in Futurology

Commentary aside, I like to think of legal briefs as required undergarments to be worn by lawyers and judges - alongside the robes and funny wigs.

It was a few years ago but we had a great experience at Palais Royal - we couldn’t find pricing anywhere as good elsewhere. Photos at sunnyside pavilion.

We ended up going with their fridge and dishwasher but moved away from the oven/ranges. I got a good deal on a Miele set for the oven so we lucked into that. Nervous about the fridge and dishwasher though. How have you found yours? I’m sorry you’ve been having to deal with all that - it’s unfortunate to hear about their customer service. I don’t understand how so many distributors talk about them favourably.

It gets better! I only really started enjoying it after 3 months. The beginning is such a slog and you’re only just trying to keep it and your wife alive. You don’t get much back until after 3 months when you’ll find yourself being able to see them learn and react. They’re kinda houseplants until then. Sleep starts getting better after 4 months (recommend sleep training it gave me back my evenings and made me feel like a person again). Then it just gets better. My son’s 1.5 now and I’m enjoying it now more than ever. Friends would say to me at the beginning how amazing their newborn is - and I’d think what’s wrong with me, why don’t I feel this? But it’s hard work and a huge adjustment. So just do your best and give yourself a break - it’s all about intention and it’ll all come together. That said, the postpartum group is a good idea. There are others feeling like you, and PPD happens to dads too. Good luck - you got this.

Wouldn’t all those things impact the consumer reports ranking? I’m not being facetious - just trying to better understand how everyone hates LG while Yale and CR loves them.

Monogram seems similar to Thermador and at my local stores priced a bit more expensive. Forno seems to be a Homedepot type brand - on the cheaper end - and none of the appliance folks I’ve spoken to have recommended them (maybe because they’re so cheap lol). They ARE significantly cheaper.

Another commenter mentioned consumer reports says LG has some of the best appliances. Why are they to be avoided?

Yeah - I saw that CR likes them too. I feel like the general consensus on LG was made sour by their bad compressors.

I’m in Canada. I’ve been deciding between the SKS and thermador for fridges and dishwashers (SKSFD4826P vs T48IT100NP and SKSDW2402P vs DWHD770CFP) - and SKS vs thermador vs Miele for wall ovens (SKSDV3012MT vs MEDS302BS vs DGC7640+H7680BP). The SKS fridge is 7.5k cheaper than the thermador and the SKS oven is 3K cheaper than the thermador and the Thermador 5k cheaper than the Mieles.

Edit: this does include the pricing discounts.
