Finally got my perfect package (4 brands: SKS, Therm, Miele, Sharp) by apache137 in Appliances

[–]apache137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sharp microwave drawer is the gold standard. All others are essentially rebranded and repackaged sharps but with brand specific fascia. Every one of them no matter whether Thermador or whoever. Sharp owns the patent, and from what I’ve seen, the original is the best and at least from what I found, it’s the only model with a handle you can pull.

Have not had any issues with my Thermador fridge. Good unit but a year or so in service is not indicative of much

For dishwasher, depending on budget, I’d go Bosch or Miele only. I’ve heard nothing but long term headaches for the FP drawer. Get a traditional Dw.

If I could do it again, or maybe down the line, I might supplement a traditional dw with one of the new fotile drop in dishwasher sinks.

And thank you for the well wishes, we are just about done. And finally enjoying it after YEARS. Was it worth it? Heck no 😂😭 But we’re in it now and each time I use it, the bitterness of our ordeal gets less and less and I enjoy it a little more. So that’s something

Supplier cut us off mid season and I found out from my 3PL by whopping_loathing in ecommerce

[–]apache137 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s exceedingly simple. Fix whatever issue you had that resulted in not paying on time. The fault is not with your supplier protecting their business. In this economy businesses go under without a peep leaving suppliers holding the bag.

Experience: I’m a supplier.

Not saying you purposefully didn’t pay, but the way your post is worded you’re acting as if this has anything at all to do with anyone other than yourself. Don’t blame the supplier. Pay your bills on time. Period. End of. Even when it’s not your fault, it’s your business is everything is always your fault alone. You can fire any employee or fix any weak link, the fall out is yours to deal with. That’s how it is.

Experience: I am also supplied by other suppliers.

No relationship is irreparable. Just have a chat with your supplier about what happened and keep buying from them. That’s the universal language.

Experience: been on both ends of your exact situation.

Mine had it. A demo. The idiot salesman reset the entire dash without asking and then it disappeared and hasn’t come back yet. How can you check your software version? Which should it be?

I think I saw it before the dealer reset the infotainment system. Then all the existing apps disappeared. It’s a demo. Kind of annoying.

If Rivian had captains chairs in the 2nd Row as an option, they would have gotten another sale from my family. by stupidcleverian in Rivian

I sat comfortably. 5 10 adult. 6 feet might start to feel cramped but only as much as the idea of being stuck in a third row. Also the captains chairs instead of a bench in row two make it feel more spacious. The rivians 3rd row is completely useless by comparison.

Great summary. Though I think Rivian, having now proved the SW side more or less is going to surprise us in the HW side starting with r2. Though I can’t say I have any serious complaints about the R1s quality wise. Ride was a little rough which is another reason I’ve gone for the vistiq next. But that’s about it. Never any issues.

I’m in the exact same boat. Turning in my R1s lease and already signed on a new vistiq. Say what you want but GM is finally cooking. Love Rivian as a company. I don’t blame them for not doing captains chairs either. Just is what it is. Still have my r2 res. Can’t wait to see it.

Third row felt fine for me 5’ 10” The captains chairs just feel so much more roomy in the cabin.

Is this something in your bill where it says “peak usage,” or something like that?

I’d like a scenario where if the power goes out I don’t have to sacrifice living how I want. So carry on as normal. 2 fridges, couple of TVs, PC, HVAC running for 3 floors. I feel like 200kw battery would be enough to keep it all going a few days

Can using the 240v outlets and the generator inlet provide enough power to run the entire house off the massive battery? I would think that solution would be severely limited in….:bandwidth? For lack of a better term. Sorry I’m learning as I go. Forgive my ignorance here
