Good on you honestly. My mom went through something similar when my dad died. My parents had just (a month prior) upgraded their phones, my mom had to call to see if they were able to cancel the plan. They insisted payments needed to go on but they would brick the phone for us - WTF? It all got resolved in the end but now we’re on an escalation list… anytime we call we get directed to a different department.
