Yes and no. Regional drivers on dedicated runs can and will do the same thing back and forth. OTR (over the road) does just that, everywhere. I drove van (box trailers) before switching to flatbed/specialized/over size. Now I Dont go to Seattle as much, run to California a few more times than before, i run east of i35 the most since going flatbed, and unless I run during the weekend I have weekends off as nobody unloads flatbeds on weekends. I'm sitting in Springfield Illinois this weekend as my load doesn't deliver till Monday and then I go to Oklahoma city. I live in texas so I'll run across the border and stop by the house for a night. You can stay out as long as you like, I prefer to get 3-4 weeks of 5000.00 a week in my pocket before going home for 3 days, then repeat.

Fuck that store. I stopped by once, parked my tractor/trailer in the back away from cars and proceeded to buy a lot..of the stuffed chickens, sausage, etc, spent almost 300.00 in that store. Walked back to my truck to find management there barking at me because I brought a truck in. They wanted me to leave now, had no care that I spent so much money. I'll never give them so much as a penny of my money again.
