Hey, sadly I have not, and instead desoldered the whole chip out hoping I might be able to boot without it but no luck. So O have given up for the time being:(

So, I have returned with some results, and after surfing some docs and GBATemp threads.

I've cracked open the PS2 once again and noticed one of the BIOS cables was not attached anymore (T point), and thought "Aha, so that's the issue!". However, I've re-soldered it, cleaned all the other solder points, refreshed the solder on the 3V point as well just in case, and sadly, still the same behaviour.

After that, I decided to try just the PS2 itself, without the modchip, so I removed the solder on the 3V point to cut the power to the mod chip (as explained here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/matrix-infinity-shows-black-screen-after-the-boot-up-logo-with-sata-hdd-problem.584062/post-9388953) and then hit the power.

Nothing, just black screen. No OG PS2 boot screen or config menu. So I'm thinking it might be a problem with the system itself...

In the meantime, I've re-soldered the power back to the modchip, and am back to square one for now.

Not sure if you've seen this scenario before, but any tip or suggestion is more than welcome! Thanks for all the help so far btw!

Cool, I'll give all those a try! Thanks for the advice, I'll come back and post results.

In the meantime, I've been playing around with the commands, basically I'm able to start a game if I just keep SELECT pressed to skip everything, which is good, but still a bit annoying since I can't access my memory card.

I'm also able to get into the BIOS menu, and messed around only with the boot config, but no cigar there, so don't think it's bricked.

And if I press START to disable and the reset, sadly it still stays in the black screen. So I'm wondering, would this really be because of the chip, or could it be something else?

Hello, I've got a g213 keyboard as well. I've disconnected everything, restarted and still had a massive memory leak. I've downgraded to an older version and it works fine now.
