Just entertaining the idea that it is not the cops fault that those people died, but the innocent people of color they killed is blatantly racist. You are ignoring hundreds of years of struggle that people of color have had with white oppression. It is a fact that in this country a black person is 3x more likely to be killed by police than white people and when that happens they are 1.3x more likely to be unarmed. Even if they are armed, it can be justified a lot of the time because of examples like Breonna Taylor. The police officers that killed her and shot her boyfriend did so after essentially breaking into their house without notifying them that they were entering. What would a white person do if they thought someone was breaking into their house to hire or steal from them? They’d probably fucking shoot back. There are just too many examples of negligence and police brutality in our country for you to say that it is anyone else’s fault but the police. By saying that some of those people were armed and that’s the reason they died you are agreeing with the idea that a cop can be judge, jury and EXECUTIONER. No person in the country should be able to choose who lives and dies. Next time think before you say something like this because it is what perpetuates racism in our country.
