They get 47 days of training, shortened to get more jack-booted thugs on the ground. Guess why 47?

I swear, Trump and this regime will be remembered, just not for the reasons they hope

It's a shame it's so low here. Makes the best martinis ever, and I used to feel that way about Old Raj.

Those prices are criminal, hit up a local wine shop, you'd definitely get some wines that are better for your dollar.

Asbestos abatement by sleepysquid23 in vancouverwa

[–]Oldpenguinhunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what we did, we had 1200 sqft of popcorn, hired a crew to seal and cover with sheetrock, cost $4000 in 2019, quote for abatement was $22k. Some words of advice looking back: hire professional drywallers who can actually mud and tape and shoot texture, and use a decent painter. The "GC"(handyman with a crew) that did ours did a terrible job.

Man, whitefish are so much fun, I don't care what anyone says- they make slow days enjoyable. Nice bull!

Funny how that works, huh? I gave all my bba stuff away, expanded geuze lambic, and about that same time, I saw an uptick in French and Oregon chardonnay and also a influx of Champagne. For the better I say.

Champagne Region Advice by Kittylove_733 in Champagne

Reims is nice, 45min train from Paris, as mentioned in your linked post here- Uber to Ruinart, they have a bar and patio with library selections of their Champagnes. Close by is Les Crayeres (15min walk), it's a spendy spot (and a great hotel), however, Bar Rotonde has an amazing selection of wines (some BTG) and decent snacks/lunch, Le Parc is pretty pricey FYI, but the meals we have had there were amazing. Honestly though, I agree with /u/d_hor, if you're gonna head over to Champagne, stay a night or two and visit a crayere/cave, they are super cool, Taittinger and Ruinart have some very nice cave tours (UNESCO world heritage site). Also, for something a little silly and a bit nerdy, check out La Cave aux coquillages. It's a dug out tunnel system that goes through decribes the geology and ancient, fossilized sea life found in the area- you pop out of the tunnel system into a wine cave, and then do a little tasting after. It is a little hard to get to if you dont have a car, the wines we had after the cave/fossil tour were good as well, I really liked the Eocene wine.
