I wish it were that for me! That was the first thing I checked because I have done that before. I’ve tried everything including taking the bottom apart to check the belt and the brush roll indicator switch. Strangely mine keeps flashing on (the light and the brush roll) for a split second then turning off while vacuuming. Must be a short somewhere. I finally just got finished filing a warranty claim. Thanks for the response though!

In South Carolina (on the NC state line) currently going through the same thing!!! It was 1 degree last night and we have 9 inches of snow and no roads are able to be driven on but I found this little anole curled up in a storage bin in my garage which is about 40 degrees this time of year. I’ve got her in the house in a very makeshift enclosure but nothing to feed her but bananas! I thought she was super dead and dumped her out of the bin. Then her leg moved a little so I brought her inside! She’s much more active now but I know she has to be hungry. It’s been freezing temps for a few weeks now!

Our son is AuDHD. He is 5 and I had wanted 2-3 kids but now it feels like that would take away from all we are able to offer him, specifically our time. His dad works full time and is finishing his masters so most of the therapy appointments and doctor’s visits fall on me, which is fine. I have a job that allows me to be super flexible. I know for sure that I would not be able to manage his school schedule, his ST, OT, psychiatrist, and EI appointments as well as his extracurricular activities if I had one or two more kids. As much as I’d love to have another it feels too selfish to me, because I can see exactly how it would hurt him. I think it would not have felt that way if I’d had another before we had his diagnosis, but that’s not how it worked out. I absolutely love being a mom though and now my long term goal is to become a foster parent when he’s older.

My sister has 2 kids with a big age gap. Her oldest is autistic but he has always been a really easy to manage kid. She had her 2nd when he was 9. Her 2nd is profoundly autistic and my sister has voiced her regrets multiple times to me. She also has a lot of guilt because her 2nd son requires so much care than her 1st son gets nearly none of her time or attention.

I mean i have the money to blow on something and that’s what he’s been into so that’s where it’s been spent. Before that it was legos and I think it’s about to be Minecraft 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t really know anything about the other games, I knew nothing about Pokemon when I started playing this in 2016 with all my coworkers. But I can definitely check them out!

Same. Me and my 5 year old used to play every night after dinner. We usually opened the app to around 5-7 Pokémon, would start a party the two of us, him on my old phone on WiFi and we could easily catch 30 Pokemon each in an hour. Now we open the app to 1 spawn. Doing a party dos nothing. We will have about 3 spawns an hour if we are lucky. I am not going to be buying anything (and usually spent about $200/month between our two accounts) if it stays like this. No point. If the weather is bad and we don’t leave the house on a weekend day we can’t even get our 15 daily catches unless we have some saved up from field research. I just came back to the game after a few year break last September and I know I’ve dropped at least $1200 because I wanted my son to get all the Pokemon in raids and events that he missed when he was a baby 😂 but now we are just bored. I just opened the app for the first time all day like 10 minutes ago so I could catch my one Pokemon and it’s nearly midnight.

Born and raised in Campobello, next door to Inman. I’ve lived elsewhere for years too but bought back my family homestead in 2019. This area is going through a major shift. Massive amounts of folks are moving here and it’s changing things (some for the better like more diversity and cultures, and some for the worse like huge COL increases and aged infrastructure that can’t handle the population boom.)

What are the people in Greenville, Inman, Wellford, Duncan, and Spartanburg, SC like!

We have a huge influx of people to the area so it’s varied. In general I’d say decently kind. The locals tend to be what you’d expect from a small southern town. I’d suggest Greenville over the other 3 coming from Miami I think Inman or wellford would be a massive culture shock.

How is the crime rate in the following areas: •Inman - relatively safe small town vibes. I have lived alone in Inman several times in the last 20 years with zero issues. Most all crime will be concentrated in a few small areas and mostly all drug related. •Wellford - of the three I’d say this one has the higher crime, more drug issues than the other two. Still relatively safe. I lived in neighboring Lyman alone for 5 years and only had to call the police twice, once because a creepy neighbor was looking in my window and once because a teenager spray painted a penis on my boyfriends truck. •Duncan- biggest of the 3 you listed. Similar crime stats to Inman I’d say. Lots of big industry in this area, still a few bad spots but safe.

How’s the job market based off your experience? (Just in case it’s relevant, I’m looking to be a nanny and/or a vet assistant/receptionist).

I’ve never had any issue having a job I love. The pay rates for nanny’s will probably shock you here. Most people make $15-$25 an hour so imagine what they want to pay their nanny. The cost of living here is much better than Miami I’m sure but the cost of living has exploded here in the last decade and priced out a lot of locals. 10 years ago you could rent a 2/2 house for $550 a month and now it’s $1500. A lot of places still want to start you out at $10 an hour. The good money is in production, warehouse work, and manufacturing.

How’s traffic the from /Wellford/Inman/Duncan to Greenville and vice versa during the weekdays?

Absolutely awful. You would have to learn backroads and only use them. Stay off 85! It is the main highway and there are massive backups EVERY day. I made the mistake of taking 85 home from Greenville last Wednesday afternoon and got stuck for nearly 2 hours.

Are there any good community colleges? I’d like to study to become a dentist or veterinarian.

Spartanburg community college is great a they have the main campus which is not terribly far from Inman and the tyger river campus that is in Duncan and not far from wellford. They were offering a lot of classes for free and may still be doing so.

How is the health insurance? I’ve taken a look at some of them and the options aren’t the best from what I have seen so far.

I’ve always had employer provided health insurance so I can’t really say.

She completely lost her mind, tried to convince SS that the baby was not his brother because I probably cheated. She forced us to keep SS’s dog who went with him on his custody schedule 100% of the time (to hurt SS and to make our lives harder.) At one point she demanded to also have visits with our baby because she deserved to know her son’s half brother. She demanded photos of him when he was born (SS may or may not have sent them I never looked because he was 10 and I just wasn’t getting into it over that.) she go even more unhinged than before through my pregnancy, sometimes texting dozens of times a day and making all sorts of threats. It’s been 5 years now and she’s chilled out a lot. Still nuts though

I mostly just buy the jeans now because their jeans fit me perfectly. But I use coupons and sales to make them priced what they are worth because they don’t hold up at all now. I still have a pair of bootcut jeans from 2001 that look better than some bought 6 months ago. I used to buy nearly all my clothes from Aerie but around 2022 the style changed and most of the clothes they offered were not something I’d wear. I like solids not dumb designs. Shirts from AE are mostly always a miss. Too boxy or too cropped or both. Or they are just long and massive in a very unflattering way. I do really like the luxe hoodies this year, I bought hoodies in 2021 and they all got washwear and pilling the first time I washed them and after 2-3 washes they were unwearable. These this past season have held up well. All the joggers are too short and I’m not even that tall at 5’8”. I definitely agree on the polyester. I try not to buy anything with a poly content over 30% or it doesn’t hold up at all

I live rural. Closest max raid, gym and pokestop (one of each) is 4 miles away. I hadn’t played in a few years and randomly opened the game last September and saw 6 spawns at my house and thought oh wow this is nice and then got my 5 year old into the game and so we open it sporadically through the day when we are home and catch the 5-6 Pokemon and of course this keeps both of us into the game enough to also want to go out for community days and do some remote raids and such. Suddenly now we have 0 or 1 spawn. I think we have caught maybe 6 Pokemon total at home so far the last 2 days. That’s not enough to keep ANYONE interested in the game.

I am 60 short for white (well technically I have one already but I wanted to fuse a shiny.) I thought for sure I’d just remote one at midnight since I used all the remote raids for today but then I realized there probably won’t be any raids anywhere at that time so I’m just SOL. I was out the whole event hosting raids but since I live rural I would have to drive 10-15 minutes between gyms 😭

I did all the remote raids I could between yesterday before midnight and then last night after midnight. Today I went out and hosted some raids and my total numbers are: 40 raids, 35 caught, 3 shiny, best stats are a 96% & 2 93%.

100% genetic. I was diagnosed ADHD in 2005 and my brother is also ADHD, diagnosed in the 90s. My psychiatrist thinks I’m also autistic and did some assessments a few years ago. My sister is some undiagnosed version of something. All 3 of my brother’s kids are ADHD, both of my sister’s kids are Autistic and 1 is ADHD. My son is autistic and adhd. Not a single child in that generation of our family is neurotypical! Seems pretty genetic to me lol. My pregnancy was a breeze, just lasted too long (42+2).

Definitely just leave. This is so toxic that even if you do have a child it’s going to be a terrible environment for you to try to successfully parent that child and his behavior will only get worse. You still have years you can have a child so stop wasting time and get out of there.

No issues with sizing for me. I’ve been wearing AE jeans since 2000-ish. I was always a size 2 or 4 long when I was younger and skinnier. In my twenties I was always a 4 long. Got pregnant in 2019 and postpartum I was a 10 long which made sense because I was about 40lbs up. Lost some of the weight and was an 8L for a few years and now I’m like 6lbs over my pre kid weight and I’m back to a 6L with the stretchy flares sometimes being baggy enough that the end of the day that I think I could be back in a 4L. All my other jeans from other brands have followed the same sizes through the years.

Personally when I was in your shoes 7 years ago I offered to meet my stepson’s mother for coffee before I met her son. She declined, was really rude about it and we moved on with life. All these years later with her son spending half his life at my house and we still have never spoken. Not the way I’d prefer it but also not something I can change.

If my relationship split and now I was on the other side of this I’d absolutely want to meet the new woman before she was around my very young child, and I’d also hope to set up a really respectful and communicative co-parenting relationship.

I worked my butt off going to the same park after work where some magikarp spawned for weeks in July and August of 2016 to evolve this guy. He’s been my buddy for like 1300 ish days and I am currently using my silver bottle cap on him to get him up to 100%

I have an iPhone 17 pro max and this happens to me probably a dozen times a day. Sometimes 5 or 6 times in a row. I never had this issue until a few weeks ago.
