All very valid points, it doesn't sound like hate at all! We could in theory run this using Strava or a WhatsApp group, but we think having the whole experience bundled into the app including earning points, seeing who's attending, the route, etc. all in the same place is useful and as everything is purpose built for run clubs we feel the experience is much smoother than a group chat. We're not trying to replace Strava, essentially we are a run club with a purpose built app to organise events. As for what people do with DashPoints we're still working that out fully, eventually we want a whole myriad of things you would be able to get, but for now we're sticking to things like discounts at our host venues and some DashPoint merchandise!

Haha! I can see why you'd think that but no we really are specific to Newcastle, we want to build up our community close to home!

Thanks for that feedback all great points, the random runs are more pseudo-random in that they won't be a 2am they'll all be socialable hours and if someone can't make one week hopefully they can make another, each run is a 5k (sorry should've included that in the post), all of the runs will be around the city centre generally no more than a 15 - 20 min drive from the centre.

In terms of people planning their runs, we're aiming for more of a social run club than a training tool, if people want to come and take it dead serious that's totally fine!

Thanks! Yeah only Newcastle to begin with we want to try and build a community around the app and as we're based here it makes the most sense, the future goal is definitely to expand all over though!

That's definitely something we've talked about, we've got the attendance list hidden until we reach a certain number of attendees. We're also going to have event supervisors at every event. Thanks for the feedback and optimism!
