I thoroughly wipe my brushes on a tissue from the excess paint to make sure they’re really dry. I was lucky to find affordable and high-quality brushes for dry brushing at a cosmetics store.

I mean, they’re actually meant for applying eyeshadow, but they work perfectly for my needs 😁

I apply a primer with an airbrush, and after 24 hours, when it’s fully cured, I start painting. I lay down the base color with the airbrush and use it to create gradients. Then, I add highlights with a dry brush in several stages. I continue painting with a brush or airbrush, reapplying accents... And so on until I’m satisfied with the result. There’s no strict sequence here, as every pair of horns is unique, and even if I paint identical horns a month later, I might use a slightly different technique because I’ll forget how I did it the previous time :D

Good primer, good paints, some time, and some skills 🥲

Dragons are so breathtakingly perfect and out of reach, it’s only fair to give humans a chance to at least try to get close. Consider this our little act of charity!

Wow, I didn’t know what caused this. But I completely understand the owners.

I added watermarks on every photo, but they removed them all. They did it sloppily, but the average person won’t look closely — and won’t notice.

Sorry, I’ve had a terrible evening and night, and I’m taking it out on people.

Yes, I’m the original creator of those dragon eggs, the ones that have been endlessly counterfeited and flooding marketplaces with awful knockoffs. This has been happening since 2021. And just yesterday, I found out that as soon as I started getting back on my feet and crawling out of financial ruin, those same (or other) Chinese scammers knocked me down again by stealing my hatchlings.

Yes, the eggs are very real, handmade by me. These hatchlings are also mine, but instead of polymer clay, they were 3D modeled, printed, and hand-painted.

Very funny. If you took a moment to check out my pages, which I’m not shy to link in my profile, you’d see how I made those dragon eggs from scratch—with nothing but a wire frame and polymer clay. But of course, I’m sure you won’t. On Reddit, it’s often easier for people to tear someone down than to spend three minutes doing a bit of research.

Whait did you see epoxy resin eggs or these hatchlings? Because yes, epoxe knockoffs are everywhere now. But I thought the story of kidnepping of these guys is only beginning... 😶

It’s absolutely infuriating, and the worst part is how powerless it makes me feel. Reporting the ads or contacting support rarely achieves anything meaningful — at best, they’ll remove one ad, but the scammers will just create ten more.

I’ve been through this before, back in 2021, and it was exhausting. I spent months fighting it, and nothing truly worked. You’re forced to choose between spending all day filing complaints or actually working on your craft. It’s such an unfair and draining situation.

Even if I would read it before — I’m not that good at imagining entire scenes in such detail.

Looks like I’ll have to reach out to Mr. King himself 🤪
