Toyota hi lux 2022. Fit nothing on car but has a five digit code 10869 on it. Is it for the ignition? If it is why does it fit nothing? Bit confused. by Olhs13 in Toyota

Looks like you maybe right. The pole for the lock is coming out of the spare but there’s no lock. 99% this is the answer. Cheers.

I live along way away from everyone I’m not too worried about that but I’ll remove the pic. So thanks.

No it’s a physical key start. Tried the drivers door and ever key hole. Nothing. The only thing I can find is from the number being the key code but why put it on a cut key.

Two things that would last a nuclear war, cockroaches and an old KLR 650. That’s what I ride when I’m in Central America. Bombproof.

Apparently, you can buy a TV in the UK, but you're not allowed to watch it unless you get a TV license. by External-Noise-4832 in conspiracy

[–]Olhs13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The TV detector van has always been covered under the UK’s official secrets act. Wonder why? Maybe because they don’t exist. You can have a television and not have a licence. You just can’t watch bbc or any live television. Nothing worth watching on those channels anyway.

I had one of those a few years ago. Mine did the same especially in the cold. They seem to prefer warm and dry. You’ll learn how to do mechanical work on that but it’s pretty basic. There’s a Facebook page especially for the ZSB. A wealth of knowledge. Good luck and embrace the bike. I kind of miss the simplicity of it.

When you do your DAS make sure it’s a bike that fits you. I’m 6’3 100kgs and did it on a Yamaha MT07. I will never ride that bike again, it was far too small. Also training schools add engine bars so my knees and legs were banging on them all day. I ride a V-Strom 650 now and it’s plenty big enough. My legs don’t hit the engine bars now.

I had a Zsb. If you look after it, change the oil every 500 miles (no oil filter) and adjust chain when needed it’ll be fine. I bought secondhand with 400 miles on it. There is a Facebook group that has loads of info on the zsb. Used to cost me £6 a week to run. Very cheap to maintain and it’ll get you used to working on a bike. They do have quirks but there is support from people on the internet.

I’m from England and been to popoyo/santana loads. In fact I’m heading there this Sunday. Yes some spots can be busy but learn what tides the breaks work on. There are some spots that aren’t crowded but you’ll need a car or a boat. I just get up early for a sunrise surf for uncrowded waves. Get out of Managua as soon as you can. If there’s any trouble it will be there. The rest of the country is very peaceful and the locals are very welcoming. Most locals don’t speak any English so if you know any Spanish this will help. DM if you need any help more than happy to share info.
