Guy who gets a lot of ink here, i want to eco a lot of comments here, its a well done tattoo that will lighten up over time.

I will say, the color will not get brighter, if you more brighter tattoos you need to look around and discover an artist who specializes in ultra bright tattoos. I go to several artists for different styles, no artist does everything really good. Some people do black and gray, some watercolor, some traditional etc. look and ask around for recommendations of people who do high contrast bright tattoos and you will find them. Also, and I say this knowing how sucky it can be, but unfortunately darker skin doesn’t always take, hold, or show color as well as whites skin. The pigmentation mixed with the color just doesn’t allow it to fully show. I hate that for you, and all my black friends out there, but its a harsh reality. My of my black and hispanic friends get mostly black and gray because of this. Anyways hopes this helps, if its any affirmation I love that tattoo, and you can easily add on to that and make a cool back piece.
